General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

bloody finally. Any word if she's gonna get her crap back at least? Also was he the one that took away the fanbox money from months ago?
Nah, that was her mother. She's not a trustworthy person either, but she's much better than the father.
Her mother returned part of the money back then and reconciled with deluta over it, they're good now (and she doesn't have access to deluta's bank anymore).
Deluta is making enough money on fanbox that she got the rest back from her simps in a month anyway.

shes gonna die soon, so we good I believe. Also deadbeat dad was also using their money to go out and eat with girls, so theres that. Now i hope that we will find him days later, enjoying the sun and seawater, facedown and bloated.

Oh I'm glad that that 's how things went down, at least there's reconciliation. Also good to see that the Aloe simps had put their money where their mouths were.

Also reading archives and it really does seem that the old rrat of "Gura's a flip" had zero basis.

Doubt it. Kidney dialysis goes on for years, even decades. And her dying would end up with Deluta in half a year of mental hospital again. Even if her mother has done scummy things in the past they're still really close.

Her current shitty father isn't even blood related though and can go drown in a lake with his criminal buddies for all I care. He's like 70 years old too.

That is probably the better word for it. An unstable person is quite a bit different, and more than likely either wouldn't have the responsibility to forego the other route and let her fanbase know, or would have gone off the rails in tears for much lesser reasons. While I don't really play into this narrative, Kiara is a better example of being closer to the unstable side of being emotional.

Watame's reactions seem born from a particular root cause, and the triggers for her (yes, triggers do actually exist outside of the watered down self-diagnoses from Twitter morons) are those that deal mostly in familial bonds and abandonment. From what has been mentioned about her childhood, this is kind of understandable as a reaction because the game preys on that kind of particular pressure point. Now I get what @Takodachi is saying about it being a milktoast game. It kind of is to me as well. While I liked it, I never really got that engaged with it on an emotional level.

maybe sensitive (to certain topics)?
and imo doesn't really matter how milquetoast something is if it presses the right (or wrong) buttons, heck absolute cheesy and cheap stuff can make people emotional.

in the end it depends how everyone deals with it, if it gets so much you turn into a broken mess you need to know how to avoid it while learning how to cope (another meme word that still has a real meaning).

29 attempts for Flare.

Gotta say, I really like where Flare is as a streamer right now. It must have been rough being gen 3 underdog.
Are we talking about her being deadlast in gen 3 in sub count? Does subcount matter that much? I mean she has like higher average live viewers than alot of hololive members with more subs. And she is like top 10 in terms of total SC.

Sub counts really don't seem to be a good measure for streamers. Subs seem to correlate to live viewers and superchats far less than for video viewers and watch time

Reactions: Mister O.

That wasn't always the case. I'm talking about the time before gen5. She struggled to get to 100k at some point.
And I'm happy for her being where she is now.

Feels like it was just yesterday when Korone made Flare cry because she gave her a present during their off-collab. I believe it was when she was still below 50k subs.
Looking back now, it's crazy to see how far she's come.

As long as they dont pull a nyanners, I can ignore their political stances.

At the risk of outing myself as a giant faggot, I have to admit there have been clips of Nyanners I have watched and laughed at floating around and would be hard pressed to not at least honestly admit to myself she does have some level of charisma. I can see why people like her and she is such a juggernaut in the western scene.

Doesn't mean I find her trying to delete her internet past any less cringy though.

Honestly man? I don't care and won't care about what she did in her past. If she, in her role as an entertainer presently, can make me forget that I'm all alone when eating dinner I'll watch her even if she was a Soviet Gulag officer in the past.

Most of the controversy boils down to a bunch of channers being butthurt that their waifu sold out and stopped paying attention to them, which is equally cringy. I don't really watch her since I don't find her entertaining except for some songs, but the people boycotting are exhibiting plenty of autism.

As darkestraven mentioned earlier, yesterday was Neneka's last stream and she spent the entire last day interviewing a bunch of indies to try and promote them. If anyone's interested here's a list of everyone interviewed, as well as some other interesting ones that she collabed with/shilled for.
Ryukiba
Irogakure Icoco - her model kinda reminds of older 3D jrpg's for some reason
Tataribe Takahiko - might be a westaboo
Azami Kallen - does a lot of karaoke
Inukawa Sasami
Souka Senju
Kuroma Renjyou
Kagutsu Homura - can speak English a little and does occasional song covers
Washio Shiyo - surprisingly no Apex
Hiragi Saki - voice filter
Hoshikake Meguru
Hekira Aoi
Mashiro Rinne - illustrated and rigged her models herself despite having a potato for a pc
Matchyama Matchka - hates being called it but she really is Paimon
Mikanagi Ruka - fluent in either English or Translator, she was pretty active in Neneka's chat
Tsukino Shiu
Meilong Gao - only has one song but it's pretty good despite its bug influence
Izumo Karen
Washimiya Syuu - one of the most prevalent collabers and pretty good friends with Neneka
Daiya Speranza - ditto above and was apparently the one who got Neneka into vtubing in the first place. Also an incredibly nice person who tolerated EOPs barraging him with a dead joke until even they felt bad about it
Iris Vail - has a really nice onee-san voice
RYO
Aoi Nito
Nanana - 2D/3D hybrid vtuber, does frequent song covers
Amama Nia - also has a really nice voice
PanmaHanma1938
Hikari
Suramyu- slimegirl
Hatsuka Totowa
Iyashi Kokoro
Bicori Nonokuma
I probably should've added more detail for them but Neneka shilled for a lot of people and there's a lot of Apex to scroll through.

As for the stream itself, her viewership dipped after about 10 days to an average of about 300-400. The dedicated ones who stuck around made a fan discord and basically became a mini-KFP and even organized a parting gift for her. I don't think she was really expecting anything to come of this since she went from wanting to quit after the two weeks, to wanting to re-debut in August, then finally deciding to just take a two month break.

Mori forgets that twitter doesn't have greentext.

Haachama is actually treating her stream somewhat like a debut stream.
Favourite vtuber: Haachama (specifically mentioning that the story arc is genius, lmao)
Favourite food: Akai Haato
3rd character theory all but confirmed?

"I learn cooking from HAACHAMA"
"What do I cook? Haato's head ramen, Haato's head sushi..."

Haato stated to have only one head when asked where she keeps getting heads from.

Refuses to state her exact name. Now claims she has no name. Adopted "Red Heart" as a name on chat's suggestion. Seems to be more Chama-leaning including the "brrrr" noises. Occasionally goes HAACHAMACHAMA.
Asked to sing a song she does some creepy/vaguely spiritual choral stuff

Phonecall noises and background "HAACHAMA CHAMA" sounds. She seems to have drawn inspiration from the horror contest, the music is certainly different from her previous. Some of it is evidently custom-made by some Haaton. It's kinda hard to believe the production quality of these.

HAACHAMA is officially her pet. Also she's -3 years old.

"My feet smell like... HAACHAMA. Why yes. I always step on HAACHAMA." Claims HAACHAMA is disgusting.

Chat: "Your pet killed someone" LMAO

Phone calls stated to be Haachama interrupting.

Haachama smells bad and she would not eat Haachama, Haato smells good and can potentially be eaten.

Outro has weird extra audio.

I can't tell if this is supposed to just be Haachama in disguise or the actual eldritch deity that controls the two of them.

In an more technical note, if you actually listen closely, you can hear she improved a lot on the r's, l's and ending words on the consonant.

'JEEEZZUSSSS' I love when they say that. Suisei does it best.

Edit: She ate Haato's heart. . . and said: 'Yeah, it looks like a strawberry because of the blood.'
