Very fun to shoot. Ammo is expensive, though. ~$2 a round right now unless you're buying in bulk (700+) or get lucky at your local store.
While decent I have had problems with them. The bolt hold followers work maybe 50% of the time and I’ve had more failures to feed with them than I have with any other magazine I’ve run through my AK. If you just want cheap steel mags they’ll work but just be aware that they aren’t the most reliable or consistent. If you want some decent 30 round metal AK mags
Croatian steel mags are the opposite of decent. Korean ones suck too.If you want some decent 30 round metal AK mags
When I in law school, so like ten years ago, I was shooting a box of Tula 5.56 and it had a two rounds of 5.45x39 in there. I didn't catch the first one and it got jammed in my AR's chamber so fucking bad. I broke two cleaning rods trying to knock it out, had to take the stock off to get the gun open and then I think it was able to pull it out from the back with channel loks or something like that.Oh I forgot to mention, tula in all it's comical fuckary has mis loaded a few palletes at least of 556 with 545 :7N6M LOL.
The ATF has banned said round by name, but some how the vodka monkies found if you just are so lazy you stuff the wrong bullet in your cheap poorly powdered, steel core shit the US might just let you ship it over.
I might have got some to pull for my Krinkov, IN MINECRAFT.
Friend was having just awful time running tula 556 and he's a better reloader than I and with some good leg work figured it out.
@Cpl. Long Dong Silver Heroic thank you. I've wanted to just try a home brew pistol as done build kits and 80%s in my sleep but I don't own a g19 and really should as they are just to me the best jack of all trades or babbys first hand gat. They are wonderful duty guns and for price of a working quality firearm I could take it camping etc and not care about breakage if it cracks something when I'm bored shooting logs in the woods and then build up again.
Normally I'd say reload your own, cowboy, but currently those supply lines are fucked as well. There have been runs on primers, mostly, my local shop can't keep them on the shelf. Casings and powder aren't nearly as bad.

A lot of people have thousands and thousands of rounds stashed in the eventuality of shit like today. I'm glad I bought so much when it was cheap. So can anybody even afford to go to the range anymore? I haven't been in 4-5 months because in my neck of the woods even 9mm has almost hit a buck a round. It's so ridiculous over here that at my local pawn shop those motherfuckers were selling rounds in dime bags for 10 bucks a bag of 10.
I haven’t shot my 9mm’s in over a year - I don’t want to shoot any ammo until I’m sure I can replace it. I’ve switched to long range work with the .308 - I had enough saved up, along with components. Also, it’s easier to make 20 rounds last when you’re shooting from the bench. So can anybody even afford to go to the range anymore? Yeah it's hard to justify to my inner jew spending a fucking dollar per trigger pull. Worst part is with the new administration I don't see it getting any better in the next few years.I haven’t shot my 9mm’s in over a year - I don’t want to shoot any ammo until I’m sure I can replace it. I went just this last weekend but that's probably the last time in a while. I've been able to scrounge around to get ammo without digging into my meager reserves through lining up like a boomer at the local big box hunting and fishing stores for the weekly shipment which is best case scenario still twice the precoof prices but better than the dollar per round madness elsewhere. Those are starting to get pricier and sparser too and I haven't been able to find ammo to feed my 10mm and .357 SIG meme guns at all for over a month now.So can anybody even afford to go to the range anymore? Uncle Sam is still buying small arms like the M4 but from everyone in addition to Colt. With Colt no longer having exclusivility(sp?), patents mostly ran out and competitors like H&K having a better deal on a better product; Colt screwed themselves believing they will be the only ones Uncle Sam be buying from forever.the history of colt is a history of bankruptcy. they have been in and out of bankruptcy since 1837. when the GWOT came they basically killed their civilian sales to completely subsist on the government teat, but the GWOT is winding down and the government no longer needs orders of 300,000 M4s anymore. if they dont continue to respecialize in the civilian market they will die.
So, what kind of guntubers do you guys actually enjoy?
I love Carnik Con when it was still a thing. This video instilled a powerful lust for bullpups in me.
I've already mentioned Larry Potterfield but he is honest to God like ASMR to me. Personally, I find gunsmithing and cleaning in general to be ear and eye candy, and Larry is a great gunsmith.
It wasn't just the civilian market they felt themselves too good for. When socom came to them asking for specialized m4 variants they told socom to fuck off too. That's the only reason the scar and m416 exist, because FN and HK were more than happy to work with them on some new rifles. It's been said many, many times but Colt really screwed themselves by believing they were too good for the civilian market.
Colts basically the perfect example on how not to run a gun manufacturer. It wasn't just the civilian market they felt themselves too good for. Its easy to see where they got that notion though. in some form or another a colt has been standard issue to the US military since the late 1830's. BUT, until the last ~30 years or so they had a robust civilian catalogue, mostly pistols, that rivaled Smith and Wesson. they did well. and they pissed it all away like retards. It's been said many, many times but Colt really screwed themselves by believing they were too good for the civilian market.
So has S&W, Remington, Winchester etc. They've all been US military suppliers since the 1800s. Colt's the only one that felt that they were too good for the common man.Its easy to see where they got that notion though. in some form or another a colt has been standard issue to the US military since the late 1830's.
