General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

HoloID back then live together in dorm but due Corona (Thanks a lot chinks) they have to live in their own house. Moona in other case, she have to go to her parent house due her Father health problem so that's why she stream in her car because the regulation of lockdown.
Moona complained in Twitter about having to carry a wheel chair up stairs. She seems slightly more talkative on this morning stream.
ahh so it was her father then who's having health issues, gotchu.

Everybody who likes V-tubers is an incel virgin, it is like the concept of simping given physical form

I think that Flare would only have an explosive growth like Pekora if she assumed a different persona like Pekora did.
I though Flare is a chill and cool type too, but lately she seems more energetic and joke around a lot. What come to mind are the time she set the entire forest on fire, being a super yakkai backup singer to Maine Ahoy!, and yesterday when she laughing out loud at San calling her a freak. She's much less calm than I though lol.

Huh, works for Sister Claire and Okayu.
I've yet to watch a single stream from Pekora or Rushia.
I mean its working for flare aswell, she have a pretty solid live viewers and SC. We are just comparing the growth of a chill stream vs those streamer that are popular(pekora, rushia, marine etc.)for being memes.

Edit: Noel, Mel, Choco sensei would be more popular if youtube didn't restrict their ASMR content

Kiara and Ina have always been pretty neck-and-neck in sub numbers. Kiara only ever got a solid lead once she did an endurance stream to reach a sub milestone.

Charge rifle here.

Is there any reason why she struggle at the start? I dont think any "towa incident" happen with her.
I remember that her audience used to be primarily female for the longest time and we know how that works.

With some Holos you can pinpoint the reason they surged in popularity: Fubuki and her short songs and memes, Korone, Doom and overseas audience, Miko and GTA, etc.

For Flare I can't think of anything like that. You'd think that NoexFlare would have helped but even nowadays their 'ship' isn't much more popular than others. If people want actual yuri they go to Sukoya and Tomoe. Resort report and many other collabs including those outside of Hololive didn't bring any significant surge in numbers. Not that I remember.

Also she got badly fucked over by Covid. She was the last of 3rd gen to get 3D and that got postponed for 2 months or so after it was already announced.

Maybe someone else could elaborate better.

If i remember correctly her numbers surge after youtube nuked her channel and she makes a meme out of it. Ina has decent seperation in sub before

Not to mention Kiara streams/uploads more often than Ina, maybe also why Ina has been gaining more subs lately (?), she's been streaming more than usual these past weeks.

I see her stream yesterday and she only got 1.8k viewer, it's pretty low than her other stream.
That's because she's still shadowbanned. She had KFP members coming in to the middle of her stream claiming they had trouble even turning up to her channel. Her channel doesn't even show up on Socialblade even when you specifically search for her name:

That being said, her sub number lead wasn't really that much from Ina (around 3k-4k for the past few weeks) and her game streaming choices of JRPGs don't really help. Not that it matters anyway. IIRC, she's stopped numberfagging for a few months now especially when chat pointed out that her sub numbers have surpassed a lot of her JP senpais.

I think at this point, sub numbers is the farthest thing on her mind and just getting her channel un-shadowbanned takes precedence.

For whatever reason Towa and Aki's new original songs aren't posted to their own channels.

Here's Towa's:

I think it was just, look, somebody had to be in last place. 3rd gen makes for some tough comparisons.

And at least from the english sub side of things, Flare didn't really have many highlights from her solo streams. She was a great collaborator but clippers didn't find much to do when she was working alone.

It's nice that she's seeing some success now.

Chill vtubers just aren't that popular, there is a reason why Ina is the least subbed HoloEN member despite being arguably the most talented of the bunch. This kind of personality just isn't that suitable for memes and clips. Pekora used to act all cutesy and shy early on but her growth only happened after she assumed her current smug and aggressive personality. Current Pekora shouting "ORA ORA ORA", "KITERAAA" and "PEKO PEKO PEKO" while devising pranks and traps is way more suitable for clips and memes than the old shy Pekora.

Pierrot hit the nail on the head - Flare doesn't have a larger-than-life, bombastic personality. That's exactly why some Vtubers will never be as popular as others (on paper). Loud, meme-able and/or clippable girls like Pekora, Rushia, or Marine, will always have a huge advantage over more chill, quaint ones like Choco, Roboco, or Aki.

A "persona switch" definitely isn't gonna happen though, sankisei has been around too long for that at this point, Pekora came out of her shell and became who she is today long before that invisible lock-in took place. Coco did much the same, it's amazing to go back and watch her speak and act so awkwardly when yonkisei was new.

Some personalities just don't catch the attention of the general masses as easily, but that's okay. They all have their loyal fanbases, numberfagging is dumb.

That's because they want you to, y'know, pay for them, lol.

But I do like how Cover supplies the songs to the IDOL PROJECT and/or Various Artists topics on YT. Kinda defeats the purpose of buying them but hey, whatever. I do it anyway to support.

I do wonder why Kiara is being singled out. One would think weird shit going on with the channel like Coco's bug infestation or Haachama using horni fanart as thumbnails would have the Google puritans going for their throat (even if YouTube still makes bank off their superchats; i don't have to state the obvious).

I know just chalking stuff up to "The Algorithm" is the norm, but those still follow basic orders, if it comes after you, you did something that at some point, YouTube believed is a "no-no", the question is how does she find out so she can fix it?
