Their "eating disorders" are not just binging. It's a fixation on disordered eating on both over consumption, and UNDER consumption. I'm sure a lot of us here already know their cycles. But the fixation on weird diets that cause them to restrict (as brief as they are) are also a major part of their eating disorders. This is partly why chantal gets so excited about having to drink only the optifast bullshit or whatever for 2 weeks. You can see how perked up she gets about it. And that's because the idea of fasting on optifast for 2 weeks turns her on just as much as binging mcdonalds. (mind you i'm only talking about the IDEA of doing it, not the actual practice of doing it) - because their minds are so black and white when it comes to their thinking. Anything that is actual sensible eating is unappealing to them. There is no magic, nothing fantastical about it, nothing extreme. They either have to be full on mukbanging 3k calories, or they have to be attempting (and failing) weird medium ghost diets, or egg diets, or juice cleanses, or water fasting, or whatever. And that weird dieting causes them to binge even more. Yeah, i'm rambling. But anyways. They will not sensible eat. Because even in their mind when they think they are fighting their eating disorder they are actually playing right into the eating disorders hand when they are masturbating themselves over weird diets. And that's why they need intervention. Because they can't even fight their eating disorder without playing into their eating disorder.
