You claim to be a writer but you can't put into words specifically what you want in your fursona. Did you outline to the artist what you wanted? Did you provide references of poses? Other examples, like "here's some examples of the muscle sizes I'd like"?
No, you probably gave the same kind of half assed description to the artist as you do on your Twitter profile, leaving them to scratch their head and work out exactly what you wanted.
When most people commission others, be it for art, web design, anything in which you pay someone else to provide to you a piece of content, the onus is on YOU to provide them with a clear description and idea of what you want.

It's not about the information he provided to the artist, though yes, guaranteed it was sub-par and limited, in part so Lou could complain about not getting what he paid for if necessary. It's that someone could draw exactly what he wanted to the molecule and it still wouldn't make a difference, because he has a void where his, for want of a better word, soul should be.
He seems to think that he's going to find the magical combination of name, species, fetishes and colours that will suddenly snap him into place and give him confidence, charisma and certainty. His lack of self-esteem or inner life is so painfully obvious beneath his narcissistic posturing, but he is under the impression that he's just not yet figured out who he is, and until he does then it's fine he's one of life's biggest fuck-ups. It's like he's someone who has heard troons blather on about gender euphoria and thought that until his name, fursona and image eternally spark joy, he's not 'found himself'.
He doesn't realise that he will never find himself, that he's chasing an elusive and momentary high like his shopping addiction, but even more divorced from reality. What he wants is a picture equivalent of, 'You Are Lisa Simpson' (an eight-year-old with more intelligence and character than he'll ever possess), something that provides him with eternal validation because he's certainly not getting it from himself. It's impossible. It's beyond quixotic. But he's a surface-level everything else, so it's no surprise he only wants surface-level answers.
So much easier to grift for money to spend on porn in a fruitless search for meaning rather than do anything that resembles introspection.

Tab, you're a blessing, this is EXACTLY how to correctly commission an artist. Generally speaking, the more you can detail what you want, the easier it is to deliver; there are always some people who take it too far and micromanage, but for the most part more detail is better almost without exception. Many artists will even have forms specifying exactly what they like infowise, god knows I do.
For Lou, I suspect what he actually wants is 'drawn Marvel/DC level of defined yet svelte muscle, plus big ol tiddies', it would be very easy to find exactly the level of furry tit he wants as a ref image. But I agree, he's chasing a dragon he'll never catch with his commissions.
