New bullshit from the county I live in.
BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CARMEL PINE CONE

MORENO SAYS STATE EXPECTED TO LOOSEN TIER RULES
Within hours of our earlier bulletin saying Monterey County businesses could expect the county to move out of the Purple Tier under the
state's shutdown rules no earlier than March 24, health officer Dr. Ed Moreno told the board of supervisors he expected modifications to the tier system to be announced very soon. According to Moreno, state health officials have informed the county they would soon announce changes that could make it easier for Monterey County to move into the less restrictive Red Tier — which means businesses might be able to reopen sooner. (Or they may make things even more difficult. - JS)
“We thought there would be an announcement sometime this week,” Moreno said. “One change could impact the criteria to move between Purple and Red tiers. We will have to wait and see what those changes will be.”(Moreno's been utterly useless throughout this entire thing, just like the county "board of supervisors". I have shit smarter things than these people. - JS)
Though he didn’t have details, Moreno noted that the state said the modifications would affect the state’s blueprint for reopening and various triggers. Monterey County has been in the Purple Tier since last summer, but in the last six weeks, the county's epidemic has rapidly diminished, from a daily average of more than 120 new cases per day per 100,000 residents in early January, to fewer than 10 today. Please see
our earlier bulletin today for details.
“From what we understand, the changes in the blueprint will not take effect immediately,” Moreno said. “The state has to meet certain metric criteria. I don’t know which metric criteria will be involved. But if the state were to meet those thresholds of metric criteria, then the changes in the blueprint would take effect.” (This turd doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Whenever he could fuck over the people of this county, he did. - JS)
The health officer made the comments after District 2 Supervisor John Phillips noted that seven other counties in California moved from the Purple to Red tiers today, and asked what Monterey County could do to get into the Red Tier so more businesses can be opened up.(Pray. - JS)
