Furry Fandom and Drama General

I saw the trailer for Sly Cooper; it looked like it might be good or fun surprisingly (mainly because oh hey, it focuses on the characters involved and has charm, unlike some trailers I've seen). I say surprisingly since video game movies tend to be weaksauce. If I see fursuiters in the process, I'll just file that away in "the internet broke containment again".

And if Furtopia wasn't bad enough, Sly Cooper and Ratchet and Clank are also getting movies next year. I don't want to go see those movies and see a bunch of fursuiters or something. I just like a video game franchise. *sigh*

I think whenever someone says "we should X game into a movie" they should be hit with a bat. Twice if X is Ratchet and Clank.

Hey, Sony under Amy Pascal didn't exactly make the best decisions. If it means appealing to nostalgia and/or furries, as long as there's some money in it...

Unrelated and no context, but I found this:

You won't. Fursuit heads cover the face. They wouldn't be allowed in.
Yeah, which is too bad. I'd pay a lot of money to watch them try to wander around and find seats in a darkened theater... not that they could fit in them.

As for the movie, I'm sure it will be OK. Disney/Pixar has been doing some great stuff with animation lately.

As a guy with Far too many Furry friends on the net, I can easily attest that They cause nothing but drama and pure bullshit at every chance they get.

Theres maybe one or two I've met who aren't completely stupid, or have a complex of some sort.

If I may point out one furry, it would be the Voice actor Known as Dragon-v0942. He's easy to find. See normally he'd be fine. He's pretty normal in terms of things, another one of those people who can't draw to save his life. But by god. As soon as Ponies and SFM became a thing, he exploded into a frenzy like I've never seen. I still have the nightmares.

I want to see all 3 movies. Hopefully, I won't run into a horde of furfags. If I do, Kiwi Farms will be the first to know. ...aside from my therapist.

Most businesses do not allow people to wear masks while on the premises for a multitude of safety and legal reasons, and trying to watch a movie while wearing a fursuit head is like trying to swim while your legs are bound. You probably won't be seeing any fursuiters at your local theater when these films come out. Furries sporting ears and tails, on the other hand...

I can only hope that a Sly Cooper cosplay is hard to pull off. Of course there could always be that guy that just wears completely unrelated furry shit to anything slightly cartoon related. You know, like the people who wear a fursuit to a general comic convention? Why do they do that, anyway?

For me, it's more of a "at worst, the crowd will be awkward and cringe and Imma post it here" at the Cooper movie Imma watch. Mainly because furfaggotry actually fucked up something for me on a IRL level beyond that so seeing condensed autism like that is just a blip on the radar by comparison.

In short for those curious; some local fur meeting booked my family's hotel room, meaning we had to get another hotel instead because the hotel was full. Replacement hotel was a shithole, and a murder nearby ruined any chance of sleeping since it happened like 100 feet away.

Because, at that point their whole identity is based almost entirely around them being a furry that they'll take any chances they can get to show how different and special they are.

They spent maybe thousands of dollars to go full autistic pervert. Why waste that money? Thus, the burning need to flaunt their tism at every venue where they won't literally be beaten up for it.
