Now, if I were to postulate a conspiracy theory, I might suggest that the numbers going down sharply over the past couple months were done to make Joe look like he was bringing the pandemic under control and make Drumpf look bad; as you'll recall, the recommendations for number of PCR cycles to confirm a coof case were lowered just as Joe was coming into office. But now that red states are using the lower numbers to justify ending restrictions and resuming normal life, they brought the decline to a screeching halt to shame them into going back into lockdown. Mask up, bigot, do you want to kill Grandma?

Now, is that what's happening? Probably not, and it'll never be possible to tell since the numbers are fucked every which way. However, if I thought there was a conspiracy going on, that's how I'd view the numbers. With ratfuck Fauci once again pushing the return to normalcy forward another year, I wouldn't put it past the powers that be to pull some fuckery to keep this shit going.

Just got back from the gym. Daily reminder I live in one of the many areas in the US where there are no shutdowns and no masks. Rode back with the top down, it's a beautiful sunny day. Meeting some friends later today for drinks, won't be a mask in sight with lots of calm people having a good time being out.

Glad to hear Texas is pulling its head out of its ass finally. Saw the related reddit meltdown briefly, that site is still good for lulz now and then. Unfortunately we've already been through this with South Dakota, and later Florida when they opened back up: big declarations of ZOMG the cases/deaths will SPIKE!!!! FEEEAAARRR!!!! Texas at 151 per 100k and Cali at 132 per 100k.
New Jersey had taken the lead over New York with 262 deaths per 100k vs 245 per 100k NY BTFO.

if it's proportional though (ie, deaths per 100k), Florida's over 65 pop (using your numbers) is 20.9% of population, whereas California's is 14.8%

I am still in the first image. Changed my whole life..moved states to a free state and things have been going great other than it being winter so it's put a hold on my 'explore the mountains' excitement I had. it baffles me that so many millions of people are living that the zombie plague is ripping through cities and I'm 'chim chummery'ing my way through the day.

I'm also really excited to watch Biden try and strong arm entire States into his draconic way of thinking. Part of me thinks he'll be dumb enough to threaten 'military action' and force states to comply. I know the U.S. military has rules against deploying inside our Borders but for Dementia Joe there are no rules. Democrats are just power hunger authoritarians. Fauci wants masks til 2022..oh and everyone needs to be vaccinated but that won't change anything. Oh and btw it's double mask time.
