This is going to be an interesting one. This is probably the most elaborate prank/trolling project in existence. The wiki page sums it up fairly well but doesn't go into a ton of detail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windy_City_Heat
Here's my breakdown: Perry Caravello (frequently misspelled as Caramello or Karavello) is a guy who moved to Hollywood in the early 90's trying to be star. Problem is that he's not funny, he can't act, and he is an asshole. Perry was "discovered" at the Comedy Store by Don Barris in 1992 when Don heckled Perry off the stage and Perry threatened to return with his cousins and kill Don. 92 was a very formative year for Perry. Don Barris has been long time friends with Jimmy Kimmel and has done a lot at the Comedy Store and was audience warm up for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Don saw potential in Perry and introduced him to Walter Molinksi (or Tony Barbieri, another long time friend of Jimmy Kimmel and a current writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live). Jimmy Kimmel dubbed them The Big 3 AKA The 3 Stooges of the new Millenium. They've been fucking with Perry ever since. Culminating in a prank film called Windy City Heat and here's a clip from that:
Perry sued Jimmy Kimmel a few years after the movie came out and that stalled any plans for a sequel look into the mousetrap incident. In the mean time Perry fell on hard times after his mother (and former tardwrangler) died and his cousin's print shop went out of business and Don felt sorry for him and resurrected the Big 3 with a podcast and to try to stir interest in a sequel or even a TV show. Don even brought Perry food and had $10 shoutout for the podcast that all went to Perry. Link to the Podcast:

More recently, Don set up a Kickstarter program to do a reality show with the Big 3 and the pilot has been filmed but no further information is known other than it revolved around a lot of Perry's publicist Tom B.
The Big 3 podcast was on again off again because of Perry being insanely difficult to work with and it seemed like the show ended for good in 2015. In the meantime, Perry lived off of his disability and continued to spend his money frivelously. It wasn't until Tom B slowly took over more and more of Perry's life, paying his rent so he could hold that over him, and forced him to do Perry Caravello Live on Twitch. It's been hypothesized that Tom played a role in Perry losing his disability as well.

Ever since Perry Caravello Live has taken off, Tom's role has expanded and at first it seemed like it was all in good fun and it was very amusing but then it slowly went to shit thanks to Tom. Tom is very controlling over the Big 3 community and would shut people out left and right. This is why this thread is made up mostly of Big 3/Smiling Friends fans most of which were cast out by Tom and his lackey's. It was revealed that Tom manipulates Perry for the right reaction and also Tom has a humiliation fetish and is deep in the closet which reveals new disturbing intent behind many of the acts he would have Perry commit:
This culminated recently when Tom choked Perry out on stream and another of Tom's lackey's fingered Perry's ass twice in one day.

It should be noted that co-creator Zach Hadel is a fan of WCH and follows Perry on Twitter.
