Depends what you get. Good level IV ceramic plates are 15-20 pounds, then the plate carrier itself is another pound. If you don't know how to move in a plate carrier, it can be awkward and shitty. Most people wear them wrong and have all the weight rest on their shoulders. Doing ranch shit wearing it would absolutely suck and I have no doubt they'd all have strokes doing it in summer heat.
this is hilarious because I cannot imagine body armor is especially light? So now these paranoid idiots are planning on dressing like something out of Mad Max whilst doing farm work...
Anyone with any experience in the types of armor they're talking about? I imagine it's somewhat clunky and at least a bit heavy. How will this affect mobility and the general pain in the ass of having to plate up every morning, whilst doing ranch based tasks?
