He wants people to turn on their neighbors and blame them instead of recognizing that the assholes in the government need to be stopped. “We need to turn on the other prisoners instead of overpowering our jailer!”

It's hilarious how many times now we've been through the Prisoner's Dilemma and people keep choosing ANYTHING but the universal "win" state

I wear a mask only where I am required to. No longer wear a mask when I buy lottery tickets and nothing is said. When out walking see people wearing masks, but I don't wear one. When I go to Costco see people wearing masks even in the parking lot. Don't put mine on until I am ready to go in, and it comes off as I go out the door. I do not care if I "fit in" to their world. I fit in to MY world. Their problem, not mine.

What gets me is seeing people alone in their vehicles, driving, and wearing masks. Jesus.

Someone here said the other day that there are many emotionally weak people out there. I have to agree. When I see young, healthy people on the (wide) walking trail wearing masks, I think, "It's their right to wear a mask, but I choose not to live in fear." Same with people wearing a mask while driving alone. Gotta wonder what these people would do if the country entered an existential crisis of some sort. Bet they'd come apart like fat in the pan.

I mean I'm personally kind of counting on that being the case if shit goes completely sideways.

The masks always struck me as a weird fucking talisman, not an actual protective measure. There are certainly masks that would likely lower transmission rate by inhibiting spread, but not the kind of crap I see people usually wearing, and especially not when they wear them incorrectly and nobody bothers to correct them. I think there's an underlying knowledge that it's all for fucking show, it's the "liability reduction" angle and "get off my dick about it already" at play.

My attitude would change if I see young kids wearing masks while their parents, also wearing masks, are taking them for a walk outside. Thankfully, I haven't seen this yet.

I have yet to see the justification for all of this a year on. It seems obvious that the education system has failed to teach any critical thinking. Millions of people die a year in this country and covid made no noticeable impact in the death rate, but it will in a few years when the suicides and undiagnosed illnesses start exacting their toll.

The have barely any moral agency and they live their lives based on the governments or authoritative sources dictate.

We need to learn from the hobos. With this quarantine, there has been a decline on the number of deaths from hobos and drug users. They have very powerful immune systems, the result of living on shit and getting so many diseases it just boosts their immune system. What if we just harvest their immunoglobulin and mass produce it, and in exchange, we give them more money?

That's what you get for thinking that the education system was meant to teach critical thinking and not to just regurgitate information that's put in front of you.
