There is also the fact that this queer theory BS is now also part of “youth culture” the way alternative rock, flannel & tattoos were a youth culture thing in the 80’s & 90’s. All the cool kids identify as non-binary, purple cats, who are aro, etc. & they all have an ugly, color block, flag.
Actual real life, lesbian youth, teens/ early 20’s, say they are “non-binary asexual” in order to not get picked on, for not wanting to date MTF asshat, teen/ 20 something, boys, who push their way into what we’d called, women or lesbian spaces, of old. They hide with a litany of cringe labels, in plain sight.
Cant wait for this to change. My friends w/ kids brought the stuff above to my attention, how it’s part & parcel of youth culture now, like a suit to try on. It starts getting pushed, in junior high even, pronouns etc.
It’s actually more transgressive for a teen or young person these days, to be right leaning, or a classical gay or lesbian, etc, w/ out all the BS pomo queer theory crap.
& it is crap, & much of what’s happening right now will change as soon as cool culture changes once again, for kids & beyond.
Fuck the adults, the wave of “activists” who helped shape the current monstrosity of one upping each other in weird pomo queer BS. “Queering” anything needs to die a quick death, sooner than later, imo.
