Haven't heard much from this thread. Ian Levine still clings on to Dr. Who.

And wouldn't you know it. Even this guy hates Trump.

Ian Geoffrey Levine (born 22nd of June, 1953) is a Northern English DJ who, decades ago, had produced a number of records by bands you'd never heard of, and the Pet Shop Boys. His work on the soul music scene may seem like he has some relevance, but his only notable trait in the popular culture is being the only Doctor Who fan older than the show itself.
Definitely that guy who produced "High Energy" by Evelyn Thomas, "So Many Men, So Little Time" by Miquel Brown, and so many more to mention.

And there is more from this hardcore Doctor Who fan. Would you believe that? He just sold his rights to a number of pop hits from the British boy band Take That. And who bought the masters and all that crap?

Guy on the left was Levine. Wait, is that Michael Jackson?

Kind of a long time lurker here, but had to register to post about one of Mr Levine's particularly zany antics- the saga of "The Four Vandals" - basically, around 1999 Ian produced a record by a young Steve Brookstein (who would later go on to win The X-Factor) called "The Wrong Side Of Town", pressed it up on vinyl under the name of The Four Vandals and promoted it on the Northern Soul scene by pretending it was a 1960s recording from the US, even going to the extent of artificially aging copies by soaking them in water and rubbing talcum powder into the grooves, and sending some to US record dealers to sell onto exclusive-hungry British DJs at inflated prices (we're talking hundreds of pounds here).

Understandably, suspicion was raised when people actually listened closely to the record and realised it sounded unnaturally modern for a '60s recording despite being muddied, leading to hysterical denials from IL until the shit finally hit the fan with Brookstein's X-Factor win when he casually mentioned it to a reporter, I understand one DJ who paid over the odds for a copy tried to punch IL over it when they met!

The tune in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNCbAkZRccM

Modern soul. That one was released in the late 1990's.

Levine even produced this cut from 2010, which is "Crash and Burn", sung by the disco legend D.C. LaRue. Might have been rumored that LaRue had a falling out with Levine over royalties.

I agree with everything he said about Babylon 5. It's one of the greatest sci fi shows ever made. Fight me.

Other than that, yeah he sounds like an autist.

Ian Levine when he found out that the 13th Doctor was going to be played by a woman

To be fair, the last two series of the show have been shocking, but that's less to do with the Doctor being a woman and more to do with the current showrunner being a moron. Levine threw his toys out of the pram solely over the Doctor being a woman before the first episode aired, that's why he's a lolcow.

To be fair, the Fury from the Deep DVD is pretty good.
