Someone explained to me the problem isn't Calarts per say, it's a handful of professors who are unfireable due to diversity bingo, who slam "you must draw beanmouth cause it's easy to animate" into their students' heads.

Combine this with the animation industry in the west running as cheap as possible, as well as A shitload of no talent fucks being allowed into Calarts cause they can pay (+ diversity bingo)... Welp.

And the only REAL reason to go to Calarts being so you can network, and that means dealing with said no talent fucks who will hire diversity bingo more than anything else.

This is interesting and something I hadn't thought of before. I guess this is also why the screaming-men-in-dresses hate Mumsnet so much. I always thought it was odd that a pretty innocuous board for UK parents was so hated.
