Does the original Space Jam hold up?

Wasn't she already strong in the first movie? So what your telling me is your going to make her into a Bre Larson bunny?
It's a shame we're not getting the fun, ditsy-yet-competent Lola from the Looney Tunes Show.
I love that version of Lola.

Given that Lola's only personally trait in the original Space Jam was that she hated being called "Doll', it's almost like she was born to inherit the unlikable personality of Captain Marvel that people on the internet will admire for some reason.

Tits be damned, I want this Lola. She actually had jokes.

Cartoon coomers mad that a cartoon bunny from a childrens movie looks cartoonish. Children don't give a shit. Judy Hopps doesn't look like a 3d cartoon pornstar either.

at least the coomers are generally honest. what strikes me as more pathetic is the people making this into some ridiculous culture war bullshit.

I'm annoyed they bothered to make another Space Jam in the first place. Personally, I've always hated the first movie. This new one looks like it's even cringier.
The first movie was one of those generational flicks for early 90's kids. It combined everything that 8 year olds of the time thought was cool. So now that those kids have kids, they have to make another one. I am confused why they'd use Hanna-Barbara characters though, since, other than Scooby Doo, most people under the age of 45 don't know who they are.

It’s the Warner Brothers Cinematic Universe movie. If they own the rights to a character, they’re gonna show up.

I mean Warner Bros. owns them, so why not? Reminds me of when Animaniacs used the H-B characters in one of their musical numbers and that invoked the exact same reaction from me. Only people who grew up watching those cartoons are going to know who they are.

Because WB have a crazy backlog of shit, which they want fresh in people minds to watch the old shit on HBO Max or to watch any reboots they make.

Space Jam 2's main goal is to market all of WB brands, it's why it not just the Looney Tunes or even cartoon characters but all of WB.

Honestly. This is another one of those "controversies" where you see more people complaining/smugposting about people mad at some dumb change, than the actual people who are mad. Thought the whole "buy our product to spite the chuds/libs/gamers/pro-skubs" tactic proved ineffective years ago.

And the people raging at said change more than likely don't actually exist (save for the Lola Room)
