Or it's a convenient way to get asspats from people who will trip over themselves to assure her that she did nothing wrong, abortion is cool, and she followed her heart.

She needs to be told she's right, and sometimes the best way to do that is to pretend she thinks she's wrong. Even if that means inventing an abortion and sighing over how it must be karma that she's suffering now. Because it can't be her gluttony that cost her her health and relationships -- it has to be something else she did, but something her devoted fans will assure her wasn't that bad, so she can wash her hands of ALL responsibility for her condition, be it physical responsibility or spiritual.

This is what cluster B looks like. Textbook. They're all desperate for validation and think absolutely nothing about lying to get it.

I disagree. Chantal has never wanted kids. She had plenty of time to give one to Bibi and she didn't. I agree with your last sentence but I don't think the abortion had anything to do with that.
