You're acting like he said it's not inconceivable to force people to not have sex. He's saying that people can still have sex, just that they should also have the personal responsibility and agency to not have sex until they're capable of dealing with the worst case scenario without killing somebody.

During sexy times humans just want to nut. They're not thinking about the sleepless nights, terrible twos, and ups and downs of parenthood while having sex. Is it that hard to understand? The primitive part of the human brain does not connect sex and having a child that is financially, physically, and emotionally dependent on you for eighteen years together. If it were, I'm sure barely anyone would be having sex.

I think the prolifers version of foreplay is whispering into their partners ear about how their future child just projectile shit themselves onto your shirt while you were changing their diaper. No wonder why they never get laid.

And on a related note: The more I read posts from pro-choicers talking about sex like it's this absolute must that needs to be done as often as possible, regardless of consequences, the more I start wondering if at least some of them are virgins who are assuming sex is way better than it really is.

I don't think so. What this discussion was not lacking was one side also calling the other side incel. I don't think it's accurate for their side, either.

And it's not like sex isn't fun. It's more like the daddy issues slut who has such an empty life that sex and the accompanying attention will be taken asa substitute of a more complete relationship/life.

Do you believe most of the population is addicted to sex?

I think sex addiction is real, but calling someone who practices safe sex and takes means to avoid pregnancy an addict isn't accurate. They are aware of the risk of pregnancy and taking steps to mitigate it. The risk of pregnancy is always there, but their libido wins out.

No, it's at least partially a serious question. They sound like some highschooler imagining what sex "must be" like. And it is fun, it's just far from necessary, and not at all worth the long term consequences. Of course, there's a whole deeply interpersonal element to sex that I didn't touch on, but something tells me most of the pro choicers in this thread could not give less of a shit about anything that isn't totally material and in-the-moment.
