If you are talking about people who are transitioning, the best way I can phrase it is a compromise. The body parts created by the Mitochrondria to facilitate the XY chromosomes "chemical demands" are removed and at best a person is left in a state of being androgenous. Without the Testes, and penis - The testes is one of the key producers of male hormones - it becomes harder for the XY Chromosome series to have their "demands" met.
