There's no way to google every person you respond to.
Sure there is, you just do it. It's literally your job. It's literally your only job, to filter out scumbags. And instead, this idiot just encouraged a criminally convicted stalker and could have avoided it by spending less than a minute.

Should we start a betting pool on how long it takes him to threaten a lawsuit? You know he will, and then he'll demand they sit down with a mediator to "work this out."
I'm calling the lawsuit being filed beginning of August once he realizes summer is coming to a close and his hot summer track isn't going to bag him fame or dominican snatch

Bonus if he calls it a gift because he did that with the TS lawsuits and didn't realize that automatically sunk his case because if something's a gift, the person you give it to has no legal obligation to do anything in return.

I’m leaning more towards November. I feel he will give her loads of chances to come to her senses and make him rich and famous, before he declares her a cockteasing disability-hater for complimenting his song and not following up immediately with offers to collaborate with him or date him or call him on the phone and tell him how talented he is while he wanks to the sound of her voice.

She doesn't have near the kind of money Taylor or Katy or Arianna have, so I think he will hold off on a lawsuit while trying to work every other angle first. Personally I’m hoping for extortion. “If you don’t post a vid on Instagram of you saying you love my song and telling people to go listen to it, I just might spread the word that you hate the disabled!!”

One thing is for sure, we’re in for a LOT more complaining about how she didn’t respond to his attempts to “flatter her.” Because Russ has still not, to this day, grasped the very fucking simple concept that to flatter someone means to be insincere in your compliments.

He’s likely seen movies where a man compliments a woman and she shyly says, “Oh, you flatter me!” and in Russ’ peabrain, she means, “Oh, you’re making me so happy with that compliment!”

To say “oh, you flatter me!” to a compliment is to modestly protest that you aren’t that great, and the other person isn’t actually being sincere in their compliment. But Russ is retarded and refuses to understand this basic nuance of speech.

He clings to the idea that “I was trying to flatter her” sounds like a good thing, and not exactly like saying, “I was insincerely complimenting her in order to get her attention or a favor in return!” And I find that just hilarious.

Butternut: It was a gift!
Based Skordas: My client isn't obligated to like your gift or reciprocate or acknowledge it. Gifts are no strings attached.
Butternut: You don't unnerstand, I wanted her to DO my music!
Based Skordas: She can't as it goes against the record label and there's liability attached.
Butternut: Thousand yard stare: It was a gift!
Based Skordas: Rolls eyes. Ya hate to see it.

Wow, Spotify's standards of what they allow to be published as "music" are lower than I thought.

At least he didn't publish "Looks like Heidi Klum".
It's easy to get songs distributed on streaming services. There are services that you can pay that will do that. Russ used one called Distrokid which charges $19.99 per year to distribute music to the major streaming services.

You know, it's been talked to death by smarter folks than me about just what all Russell just doesn't get about songwriting, but from a layman's point of view? Russ's music is boring. Like there's nothing catchy or inspired or....anything. it's just sounds. It's just like his attempt at screenwriting. "There are successful songs that do this, this and this, so if I just do those it's automatically awesome." And he totally misses the point, and makes....this.

Rusty isn't a particularly smart or creative guy. That's not to say he's a complete moron; he can support himself financially. He just cannot figure out why things don't work when he does them. His mind works like this: A person does X and gets Y. Therefore, if Russell does X, Russell gets Y. He does not take the time to figure out why X leads to Y, as he's a narcissist who believes he's always right. Therefore, he takes components of successful songs without learning how those components fit into the song, and he tries the same old tired wooing tactics because he's seen others use them and if it worked for them, it'll work for Rusty.

Something something trying the same action repeatedly and expecting a variant reaction is a sign of something.

I'm around Rusty's age so my social media has been ablaze with people turning 30 over the past few years. Hell, some of them even spent their 30th in Vegas (pre-coof) because why the fuck not?

I don't know about you guys, but every single 30th birthday self-post I've seen has had pictures of friends, maybe spouses/kids, family members, or at the very least some cool randoms they met in the bar last night. Russ doesn't even have a picture of himself, just some sad photos of the empty post-covid strip on a gloomy day. It's like what some of you mentioned with his songwriting: he combines elements he sees in other people's successful posts but ends up completely botching it.

Happy birthday Russface. Here's to another 30 years of being the lowest common denominator

He has no clue that there even is a structure for a pop song, much less what that structure is. Hence, he fails every time. He just shits out some turd that barely resembles a song. The idea of actually doing research eludes him.

There's a slight change in tone here. Previously, he was stating how he must/will make it big before 30. And how every year was definitely his. Now he just hopes some big things will happen.
I've been thinking about that for a while. I know we often say Russ hasn't changed a bit (And that's mostly true), but I feel like his tone has definitely gotten a lot different over time. Like, if we check out the screencaps from 2013 @Sam Losco posted:

He's definitely still doing the same stunts we're used to, but he seems to be acting considerably more polite than in recent years. I know it's all just a facade to seem like more of a nice guy, but it's a facade he doesn't even bother putting up anymore.
Modern Russell will just say he's venmo'd a girl a dollar, say she's beautiful, ask her to read his PMs, call every guy in her comment section a loser and then accuse her of discriminating against him in the span of five minutes, sometimes all in a single comment.

Russ might not have learned anything from all his misadventures, but it definitely seems like each year he gets more resentful, more bitter and a lot greasier.

That's an interesting catch. I wonder if our boy has had even the slightest moment of self introspection/realization due to turning 30. Crazy to think it, I know, but this post comes across as a little more sad sack (hidden behind a paper thin veneer of self-depreciating humor) and less like someone who just read ten generic motivational/self help pamphlets about the "power of positive thinking".
