People wearing coats in Vietnam isn’t uncommon. If it is under 70 degrees, they find that very cold and will be in winter gear.

He seems to be in a rental car which in both Vietnam and Cambodia... just isn’t a thing. Rental scooters sure but not cars. Cars have about a 100% price increase because of taxes in those countries. As for fast food... they are there but are not common at all. Most food are street stalls.

Also Vietnam at least has left hand drive cars, not right hand drive cars like in Japan.
