It wasn't even a joke, if I remember. He just pointed out Harvey Milk-type pedo grooming situations are not exactly unique in the gay community, and like an absolute idiot defended it.

It was kind of a stunning example of cancel culture hypocrisy, after a fashion, since that bit of Milk's history is buried.
