Well in my honest opinion, the only one who should do anything about it is Vic. I'd love to read a news article about how a gay pants wearing, flamboyant man decapitates a seemingly random individual no one can identify because the person was irrelevant.

I have a feeling Crumbreon/Immaculate Ape will invite Vic no matter the screeching. That one redneck con (Bubbafest?) wouldn't care, either. Probably Anime Matsuri. Maybe BakAnime.

For businesses that need money, it really is hard to take a chance, especially when you're spammed with threats and need the money to survive. So sometimes it's not necessarily about courage, it's about are you willing to take a chance. As I have said before, I don't know how popular Star Trek Continues is, so I don't know how much of an impact it would be to have him leave or if any of the die-hard fans would care or not.

On to the topic of that idea being brought up and shot down. Personally, I don't care if a kiwi wants to do that or not, but as said before Notice.png

I have 100% heard HOURS of accusations against Alec. In fact before all this blew up I’d heard WAY more raunchy, creepy stuff about him than I had about any other personality I’d come in contact with. His indiscretions are more widely known in the Battlestar Galactic fan group The Fleet than in the Star Trek community. His notoriety in the Star Trek community leans more towards embezzlement accusations though.

This is all predicated on the appeals coming back in in Vic's favor, but I have a feeling Vic is not going to be looking to accept a settlement. The damage is permanent, and these people simply will not ignore him. They are actively going out of their way to literally deprive him of an income. I think this lawsuit has ceased being about repairing his reputation, and securing a retirement plan for Vic.

The Rons, Montellos, and Plants are going to keep doing this until the day he dies.

It is sad, but you are right that the damage is permanent, and win or lose it will still be a blight that will hurt Vic forever. And if Vic wins it all in the end, these cretins will still use the fact that he lost at TCPA and bias articles to attack Vic and as "proof" of all the things they lied about to get him kicked out of earning an income, as is proven by their constant of playing the same out of context gif they spam on twitter. For them, it has always been about attacking and hopefully killing a man, not getting justice for "victims."

Also, why would anyone defend Alec Peters? The douche single handily caused CBS to drop the hammer on Star Trek fan projects and place the current draconian requirements for fan projects. He should be universally reviled by fan creators just for that.

A lot of us are pissed.

This is how easy it is to ruin someone's life using social media. The majority of the people who harassed the con owners and organizers to disinvite Vic are probably not even going to be there and they robbed that experience of everyone who was going just to see Vic.

Well I hope they are proud of themselves for letting all that potential revenue they could've gotten from his appearance fall through their fingers. Bunch of impotent fools. His previous appearances have been huge successes despite the lawsuit. I'm still floored that they would cave so easily to a hate mob.

It sucks but I'm looking forward to see how karma is gonna violently fuck them up that a lot of them rightfully deserved in the future.
