Shit like this should be considered a violation of human rights. "They consented" also isn't a defense given that they're lied to and/or have no idea what the ramifications are for the procedure. When something overwhelmingly spikes depression and suicide rates, maybe it's the procedure itself and not some kind of "institutional transphobia" at work.

Consent in this case is more "you signed this paper that you are aware we are going to butcher you and if anything happen is your fault", is practically a get out of jail card that wokey countries love to use to make their butchers not lose their licenses and dont tarnish :::theoptics:::

If we are going to allow these types of surgeries to be legal, we need to put some laws in place to hold these butchers accountable for this shit. It should absolutely be illegal for them to drop patients because they can't fix the damage they've done. At the very least they need to find a different doctor for their patient.
Even if the surgery goes 100% the way it's supposed to, these sick people are being sold lies, so when it goes wrong, you're taking someone who is already at risk of suicide, and making the situation worse.

If there's one consolation, it's that for the first time in human history, we have a veritable mountain of footage showing the results of these horrible procedures. It's easy to view things like trepanning, bloodletting, and lobotomization as hilarious old-timey medical follies because very few people still alive witnessed them and there are even fewer still-living recipients.
Now everyone can see the butchery happen in real time. We get to watch as their mutilated flesh rots off, all the while deluded people dance and clap in a circle over how wonderful this futuristic medical miracle is. This isn't theoretical, and it never will be, because anyone who wants to behold the horror can do so.
If this doesn't sound much like a consolation, the fact that it's so real and so easy to find the universally bad outcomes of it may mean that the next time a bunch of sociopathic quacks come up with a way to ruin peoples' lives for money, they'll receive greater pushback. "What if this is the next lobotomy?" is too theoretical for people to understand because it's the ancient past, but "What if this is the next sexual reassignment surgery?" is a lot easier for people to comprehend when they're actually seeing it with their own eyes.

Back then you had people mainstream back then speaking out on how lobotomies and such failed and were inhumane and cruel, whereas now the same mainstream is saying it's inhumane and cruel if you don't have the procedure.

I'm quite ambivalent in my reaction to this woman's patients/victims/marks. On one hand, a bunch of weirdo narcissist troons decided to go under the knife to deal with their mental illness and, surprise surprise, cosmetic surgery didn't help with their issues. The cynic in me can't help but wonder how many of her bad reviews are motivated by their general unhappiness and their NEED to have something to complain about because this is what fuels their existence. The source of all their problems is external in their mind. It's the way their benis looks, it's the way "transphobes" try to convince them not to augment their bodies, it's because they don't look like Charlize Theron when they came out of surgery. It's anything to keep from having to confront their mental issues. "My fake vagina doesn't look real!" yeah no shit, you paid this person to lop off your pecker and carve an open wound into your body, what were you expecting? You made your bed, now dilate in it.
On the other hand I feel terrible for these people and I do wonder about the professionalism of the good doc. I see her as a modern day Mengele; sating her fucked up curiosities by poking around other people's bodies. She takes advantage of the sad, listless, and confused men and women who approach her for surgery largely insulated from criticism by a trans movement that supports, if not the doctor herself, the kind of procedures she performs. I'm just surprised because it's very hard for a DO to land a gen surg residency, not to mention a plastic fellowship. Plastic and neurosurg are very DO-unfriendly specialties.

The difficulty here is defining what a "successful" surgery is, because the results are totally subjective. By design, the surgery destroys functioning anatomy. Virtually any other surgery has objective markers for success. Even purely cosmetic surgeries like breast implants have objective markers. "I want larger tits." "Excellent we can make your tits 50% larger."

I don't hate trans people, hell I have empathy for someone who suffers with deep gender dysphoria. And if they wanna put on a dress and be call "Miss" I really don't care.
But christ thinking the solution to a mental disorder is a physical maiming. It doesn't make sense. I can't believe it even needs to be argued! I think people who discuss this are doing more good for the Transgender community than those who go along with the enabling.

I have no clue how this place manages to exist in PA. It's one of the most sue happy places in this country when it comes to medical malpractice. I think it's literally only behind New York in terms of total money paid out to claimants.

I've seen some of this shit though. You can look at pictures of the butcheries this woman commits. They're easily among the worst even among these quacks. While it's certainly fair to point out there is no actually "good" way to chop off someone's balls and then mutilate their wang into a mockery of a vagina, there's bad and there's really bad, and then somewhere beyond that there's "Dr." Kathy Rumer the dong butcher of Ardmore.
