Time for me to take a break
Imagine living in a jury based law system
Well, the left is working to make that a thing of the past.
I hope they put one of Floyd's dumbass sheboon fucktoys on the stand. Rachel Jeantel trying to explain to the prosecutor the difference between a nigga and a cracka still makes me laugh.
You really think prosecutors would do that?

I've heard more than one person claim that Chauvin is going to walk so Biden has an excuse to crush BLM.

At this point, I could see it being a 50/50 toss between them totally railroading Chauvin to pacify the Woke Left or the judge lets him walk completely (or gives a slap on the wrist for a lesser charge) so BLM gives Biden enough rope to lynch them with since the divide between neoliberal corporate elites and the diehard true believers in the Woke Left seems to be growing, even as the neolibs keep doing more to try and placate them.

The jury selection and behavior of the defense indicates the former but everything else points to the latter like the extensive security measures around the courthouse.

The corporate elites throwing the Woke Left under the bus and actually stopping BLM would also greatly boost Biden/Kamala's actual popularity and approval ratings from the masses since it's so obvious that even the liberals and leftists have severe voter's remorse that even the MSM can't fully memory hole it.

I do not see them letting him walk.

My sense is that you get mostly true believers in politically charged jury selections. Remember Roger Stone?

Im going with Bullshit on this (for the reason claimed, 29 would have been dismissed anyways). Judges, DAs, and Defense do not want lawyers on the jury, they know the profession too well and the fear is they will not use just the evidence presented in the case but professional subconscious cues the DA and defense give off unknowingly to make their decision.

When I was being interviewed for jury duty a few years back they were dismissing people who took basic law classes back in college despite it being decades ago.

The jury won't let him walk but if Chauvin does walk, it will be either in the form of a technical fuckup that's so glaringly obvious that they have no choice but to call a mistrial or Chauvin decides to convince his lawyers to push for a bench trial instead of a regular jury trial.

Either way, the end result would be beneficial to the bigwigs and they can use either outcome to their advantage. Which is why I'm going for a 50/50 of "Chauvin barely walks by on a technicality" vs. "He gets railroaded"

I'm more convinced than before that Chauvin will be convicted regardless of the actual facts of the matter. Both through a mix of jury intimidation by proxy and BLM true believers on the jury. Hell I wouldn't put it past a juror to intimidate another into voting guilty at this point.

@Syaoran Li , I don't think they can push for a bench trial at this stage of the game, and I don't think the defense wants that. IIRC Chauvin tried to enter a guilty plea and the state said no, they wanted their pound of flesh.

The OJ trial was a total circus, three rings, 100 clowns climbing out of a Mini Cooper, elephants on parade, clowns on stilts, chimps riding mini-bikes, the whole shebang.

The Trayvon trial wasn't tryna be like that but, well, they had one elephant on parade, and it was a big African tusker. With a goiter.

Rate me optimistic (in Minecraft) but I feel like the prosecution, the defense, and the judge all want at least the appearance of a fair trial. If this is going to provoke The Chimpening, nobody wants to be the asshole who ate shit on live TV.

This next circus trial next OJ, Trump, Michael Jackson

Obvious kangaroo court aside, I do wonder how bad the inevitable riots are going to get, and if Biden will actually have the gall to put down BLM and ANTIFA, which would signal that they have outlived their usefulness to the dems/swamp. Or maybe I'll be wrong and they'll let half of Minneapolis burn to the ground if Chauvin gets anything less than the electric chair.

Hope the Minnesotans who reject the rioting are stocked up on plenty of plywood and shooters. They're going to need it.

To your first point, if this goes the way it's looking and Chauvin gets anything less than 25+ under a first degree, there will be a chimpening. But imo that's not even the real danger, the real danger will be when either the glowies or some dipshit autist decide to amp things up by doing counter "protests" which will end in bodies on the ground. Then we will start to see some nasty shit that might actually eclipse '92. It's just been boiling over for too long, and with too little release on the valve. Everyone feels entitled and most people seem to be firmly planted on one side or another. I haven't met many people who will say "eh I think Chauvin definitely used improper force but I don't think he intended to kill the guy", it's either "FLOYD WAS MURDERED" or "Based cop". It will spread from Minneapolis quicker than last year and more fuel will be added if there are more developments in the Taylor case in KY or against the rednecks that chased down Armed Robbery in Georgia last year.

To your second point, I have no doubt in my mind that Biden will gleefully put down BLM and Antifa, because to him it will be worth it to also get rid of any right wing groups at the same time. We may or may not see martial law go into effect (wouldn't actually surprise me this time considering Sniffin Joe has a fucking standing army parked in DC) and suddenly "Uncle Joe" will start to seem like the radical authoritarian that the commielites were accusing Trump of being.

I don’t think Glowies are going to do anything. Antifa are perfectly fine with letting everything burn down if their enemies will smolder to death inside. The right meanwhile...have a moral restraint keeping them from doing things like take a high noon mentality.

And honestly, any actions by Biden will be dependent on what right wingers do, or whatever lower jurisdictions need to do to get funding in the name of “take a certain action to give the impression you take the problem seriously”.

I feel like the cleanest route for the defense is to argue that Floyd wasn't crushed, choked, asphyxiated, suffocated, strangled, denied air, what have you, but instead his oxygen saturation plummeted leading to cardiac arrest.

Like for example:

Despite experiencing dangerously low levels of oxygen, many people infected with severe cases of COVID-19 sometimes show no symptoms of shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Hypoxia's ability to quietly inflict damage is why it's been coined "silent." In coronavirus patients, it's thought that the infection first damages the lungs, rendering parts of them incapable of functioning properly. Those tissues lose oxygen and stop working, no longer infusing the blood stream with oxygen, causing silent hypoxia. But exactly how that domino effect occurs has not been clear until now.

It's possible for your oxygen sats to take a giant shit while you're still moving air in and out of the lungs.
