Isn't there any way to appeal this!? Isn't there a news agency that can be told!? Is there anyone in the entire world with any power at all who could look at what has been done and see it is wrong? I can't understand how you could justify why the shelter cannot be allowed to have the money that multiple people wanted to give to it.

This is what they believe. That is a thought that they have and that they act on. The sheer audacity floors me.
The ego it takes to believe that punishing your enemies is more important than helping the victims of crime... it is unimaginable. The generosity of who knows how many jokesters from /r/superstraight has been simply been denied to be given. They were disallowed from even trying to help people in need, and they were denied it because someone with the power to stop them simply wanted to punish them for a perceived slight.
I cannot spell out to you how clearly the incompatibility of the trans movement with civil society has been spelled out to me today. If I had $7000 Canadian funny dollars to burn, I know where I'd want to send them right now.
