Usually there's stipulations for that, though. For example, in Vic's KamehaCon contract, if Vic were to have some gig or job conflict come up, he's able to withdraw without problem. Same thing if he, or a family member, comes down with serious illness. The con can withdraw the contract if Vic was arrested or convicted of a crime. Far as we know, none of these apply. On its face, it seems that Emile Plum reached out to the convention with the express purpose of getting Vic's contract breached, and succeeded in doing so.

Vic has repeatedly stated NOT to harass or bully cons or people to invite him, but to show respect and kindness when doing so. Stooping to the level of KV by trying to cancel the con just throws the situation in one giant circle.
