You "have" to quarantine. Sure, there's no enforcement mechanism and there are a million ways to get around even flying directly in to NY. But it's a "requirement." Right.

The Medical Officer of Health for the City of Toronto where many businesses have been shuttered since Oct. 9, and citizens have been confined by a stay-at-home order since Jan. 13, is married to a Toronto cardiologist who listed COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers Pfizer and Astra-Zeneca among his “financial interests” at an online medical panel discussion on Jun. 12, 2020.

Richard Choi, the husband of de Villa, works at Riverside Clinic in Toronto. A moderator for the panel discussion he participated in described the panelists’ ties to pharmaceutical industries as “conflicts” and “disclosures,” and they were presented as “relationships with financial interests” on a slide presentation.

The government of Canada has agreed to purchase at least 20 million doses of its pharmaceutical giant Pfizer’s experimental COVID-19 vaccine.

Last week, Health Canada agreed to purchase 2 million doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine, which was granted emergency use authorization by the World Health Organization in mid-February.

I'm kind of surprised that it took them so long. They're the 17th least densely populated state and one of the reddest states (5th, 1st, 4th, 3rd and 3rd highest percentage in terms of voting for the Republican candidate in the last five elections) in the union.

Yeah, I feel like the reason the mask mandates can last longer in Asian countries is cause we have this culture where sticking out is a bad thing. In the Philippines we're required to wear both a mask AND a faceshield if you want to go to the grocery or run errands. As far as I can tell we're the only country that does this. I'm not even sure if it does anything but if you don't wear all that shit they'll tell you to fuck off.

I'm all for caution, but these rules feel so pointless and not well thought out. In my country, public transport mostly consists of large jeeps where 20 people are crammed together on benches on either side of the vehicle. How the hell are you supposed to social distance there? Does a mask really help when everyone is just breathing everyone else's air like that?

Honestly I'm not even sure if our cases are bad enough to warrant all this. Maybe the capital is getting hit hard, but in my region, there have been a total of a bit over 11,000 cases of which almost 10,000 have recovered and 212 died. This is in a region with a population of over 4.5 million! The numbers to me just seem so low but when I tell people they wave it off or agree with me but say we can't do much about it anyway. At this point I feel like I'm the crazy one for not following the pack.

Went to doctor this morning. Noticed the hospital where he practices was running an immunization clinic. Just passed through. Doctor asked me if I wanted a vaccination, he'd make sure I got one. Said no thanks, no longer trust the government.

Looks like Cuomo the Murderer's mommy is weighing in re her son, like a good dindu mom.
