Funimation is basically a group of friends who all know each other and specifically a group of friends who will backstab you and will deny you chances of the big gigs if you piss off someone like Sabat.

Remember that Chuck Huber affidavit that said being on good terms with Sabat was important to succeeding at Funimation? That's actually true. I actually remember all the way back in early 2010s attending a Q&A panel for Joel McDonald (An actor who directed at Funi during those days) and this was back when Clifford Chapin (Bakugo in MHA) was just starting out as a new VA. Basically in that panel he was talking about networking and explained how Clifford Chapin got his big break by dropping off his resume at Okratron 5000 in person and Chris Sabat just happened to be there at that very moment.

It simply cannot be overstated how much control Sabat has at Funimation over who succeeds and who doesn't.

How anyone can support a company that treats their fans like subhuman trash and clearly function on favoritism and opportunism over work ethic and passion is beyond me. No corporation would operate this way and make it so obvious to the public. But you know what? They can have them.

A legal contract is oral, not written. The written document people call contracts are just memorials of the oral contract. Such a succulent might be required in some states in some cases, such as for real estate and work over $500, in order to sue for breach, for example, but a written document might not be needed for T.I.
