It seems Kero has support even from relatively bigger furry youtubers too, this guy has 100k+ subscribers and is supporting him openly.
Genuine question; is there any sub-community predominately online that is as terminally horrible as furries? All the little cliques and sub-cliques all have their cancerous part(s), but they always seem to be ostrasized and regulated by the community itself. Furries seems to have an inverse problem, where there's pockets of regular people who can get quite zealous from being surrounded on all sides by some really heinous and powerful people (within the context of the community).
Say what you will, but the freaks are loyal to a fault to each other.
Despite the Gay Dragon being a lolcow himself, is there any inter-furry politics that would lead Kothorix to have it out for him the way he claims? Kothorix's take on the situation was pretty sober, IMHO, and convincing.
His description of CP as "illegal pornography" during the video strikes me as odd. This would be the ideal time to paint Snake Thing as monstrously as possible; why use such a softball term like "illegal pornography"? He wasn't stashing huge quantities of revenge porn FFS, it was child sexual abuse material. This isn't an indictment or anything, but it perked my ears up.
His description of the Furry Fandom as a place where he was free to express himself brings to mind the scene from
300 where Ephialtes goes to Xerxes and gets pulled into an orgy of deformed and mutilated people. This is probably an apt metaphor for most Furries early introduction into their fandom.
I wish Metokur would have finished his series on Furries that he started. I hope Toad or Cecil or whoever take it upon themselves to deep dive into the history of the Furry Fandoms relationship with the wider internet and why they are so reviled, and not just a video about the humble starts of trading drawings of mickey and minnie mouse fucking. For the sake of the wider point, assuming he's innocent; if Kero was as concerned about cancel culture and the dog-piling he received from every direction as he claims, he should probably ask why people were willing to buy into the allegations against him in the first place. I don't buy the mob mentality argument. Furries are so disliked and so gross that the claims just made sense with what everyone has already seen and experienced of them. Kero is delusional if he thinks that it's "shocking" to believe that someone with an interest in feral art would take a few steps farther into that realm.
