Personally I couldn't care less what the Y-tubers do in their private lives. I just find the fan reaction absolutely fascinating and hilarious. Also the business model seems to be a license for Cover to print money. Well and Google with their share of any superchat.
The thing I have to acknowledge from the more "enraged" fanbase is that there is a certain code of conduct that you should adhere to. You have to show a certain form of behavior when you are working on a construction site and then again a different form of behavior when you are working for a law firm, at least to your clients. The same applies to being a Y-tuber. If you put yourself in such a field, you have to be careful about a few things. Like acknowledging a boyfriend and so on. It is after all an illusion and a form of escapism.
In popular evolutionary psychology books you often find the argument that one mating strategy for male members of our species is to showcase the ability to put food on the table. To show that you are a good provider. Having a child is a huge investment so males that show the ability to get resources and the willingness to spend these resources on the female are more attractive. And I can't help but think about this argument whenever I see a high superchat. I rarely see people dropping that amount of money to nearly complete strangers in others scenarios in the real world. In other words: It's not normal behavior, it's not healthy behavior.
So in my view it's like applying for a job, where you KNOW that the company will go though your social media accounts and then having some really embarrassing shit on said accounts. It is just not the smartest move. It is not necessary right, but that is the environment they are getting into an they should know what to expect. If the illusion is destroyed for people that have put huge amounts of money into a Y-Tuber, do you expect a healthy, rational response, when their previous behavior was clearly not healthy? Of course not.
Just take a look at the question attachment, I am not 100 percent sure that this one is complete. That stuff was last used a year ago. That stuff should have been gone and wiped out before she started putting herself into that kind of environment. In the questions she answers this:

With that you have all the ingredients of a meltdown with a certain group within the fans.
