Futakuchi Mana seems to be dealing with some bullshit.

As fun as she has been being the breath of fresh air that she is, this just confirms my initial suspicion that she isn't in this vtubing gig for the long haul. Even more so that she has stated earlier that it was her manager that roped her into vtubing.

She's gonna be fun for the occasional cover release and chit-chat, but I doubt she'll still be around for long.

Question is Amegeddon when it was found out she had a boyfriend because I remember that it was not that big of a deal here, the only interesting thing was a screenshot of 4chan being mad.
Basically this. 4chan went nuclear about the boyfriend and someone warned her about it. She responded that they had broken up and purged everything about sachi besides her twitter, where she put several pictures of her face as the header lol.
Tried to search her twitter but i guess she took down at some point. Maybe you can still find the header posted here somewhere.

I think that's the bit about boyfriend that I was missing from this story. I knew it was about the doxx (or was it only a past identity reveal?) and that 4chan went ballistic, to the point where janny/mod Sharkmeido purged all the threads related to it from the board (for no monetary compensation!), causing some butthurt in the process. Did Ame cancel the stream on that day as well?

It's getting twitter-ish at this point.
Kiara: *sneezes*
Spergs: "I can't believe how awful and disrespectful of other Holo members it was. Other girls had to suffer through serious illnesses and spend some time in hospital, while she's getting a free pass. What an ungrateful bitch, I hate her"
I was thinking more /... The whole, 'Subaru is right there for you! OMG, how could you disrespect a Sempei like that,' was getting a bit much for my taste. Sounded the same as the Takamori freaks that think Calli is 'cheating' on Kiara with Reine.

Also. . . I hate the fact that your name made me think the words 'I like this Horni Guy.'
Funny thing, I found this thread while googling what the hell "Amegeddon" was about.
IIRC, it's 4chan finding her old content which caused her to purge all of her content from her old channel.
the only interesting thing was a screenshot of 4chan being mad.
I started to really look at the thread when that random freak posted a meltdown-EN 'doxx' on the chans here. It got reposted actually again a few hundred pages or so ago. Originally I was just starting my delve into the whole CN thing which is how I inadvertently re-found this site. But anyway, Amegeddon was one of the singular best pieces of this thread. The sheer salt and rage over her having had a boyfriend was like going to a theme-park. One guy apparently was cutting himself.
Why is Japan like this....
1. See above.
2. It is all they know.

You don't have a manager for a "hobby".

Much like Calli, she's very clearly someone who has been doing music before, and vtubing is how she's getting noticed for her actual content.

My rrat is that she fully expects once she has enough growth that people find her actual previous stage name and she will plan to eventually drop the vtubing bit once she can find a way to graft her vtuber fanbase into her actual metal fanbase.

Honestly? Not the worst strategy, and it's paying off it looks like. Though if that is her strategy, I'd actually bet that she ends up finding more enjoyment out of vtubing and doesn't want to give it up. If she can craft her audience in such a way that doesn't obsess about hornyposting and the other negative shit vtubing brings out of people, she might come to enjoy it.

Not a bad assumption; I can agree to that. But I think the reason that she had this outburst was something that was brought up earlier in the thread after her karaoke. Someone mentioned that she doesn't stream so much. Now, here the logic prevailed and said she probably has other commitments and work to support herself. I can only imagine the other 'followers' were 'reeeeeeeeeing' to the fact she wasn't 'producing enough content.'
>Why is Japan like this
It's not exclusive to JP, remember the Ameggedon from not so long ago? It's basically the same thing.
Yep. And see above. . . this comes conveniently after that event was mentioned. Isn't life funny like that?

Funny thing, I found this thread while googling what the hell "Amegeddon" was about. I haven't found the complete explanation, mostly descriptions of aftermath, I didn't care enough to search further though.

Personally I couldn't care less what the Y-tubers do in their private lives. I just find the fan reaction absolutely fascinating and hilarious. Also the business model seems to be a license for Cover to print money. Well and Google with their share of any superchat.

The thing I have to acknowledge from the more "enraged" fanbase is that there is a certain code of conduct that you should adhere to. You have to show a certain form of behavior when you are working on a construction site and then again a different form of behavior when you are working for a law firm, at least to your clients. The same applies to being a Y-tuber. If you put yourself in such a field, you have to be careful about a few things. Like acknowledging a boyfriend and so on. It is after all an illusion and a form of escapism.

In popular evolutionary psychology books you often find the argument that one mating strategy for male members of our species is to showcase the ability to put food on the table. To show that you are a good provider. Having a child is a huge investment so males that show the ability to get resources and the willingness to spend these resources on the female are more attractive. And I can't help but think about this argument whenever I see a high superchat. I rarely see people dropping that amount of money to nearly complete strangers in others scenarios in the real world. In other words: It's not normal behavior, it's not healthy behavior.

So in my view it's like applying for a job, where you KNOW that the company will go though your social media accounts and then having some really embarrassing shit on said accounts. It is just not the smartest move. It is not necessary right, but that is the environment they are getting into an they should know what to expect. If the illusion is destroyed for people that have put huge amounts of money into a Y-Tuber, do you expect a healthy, rational response, when their previous behavior was clearly not healthy? Of course not.

Just take a look at the question attachment, I am not 100 percent sure that this one is complete. That stuff was last used a year ago. That stuff should have been gone and wiped out before she started putting herself into that kind of environment. In the questions she answers this:

View attachment 1635784

From there on people found her boyfriends twitter account: https://archive.md/e6He3
And her boyfriends twitch account: https://www.twitch.tv/veryneet (Can't archive right now)

Which then lead to videos outtakes such as these:

With that you have all the ingredients of a meltdown with a certain group within the fans.

I watched a bit of a video, something about bottled gamer girl farts in response to Belle Delphine's bath water or something and she hiccupped in it. On the boyfriend thing, it looks like someone on 4chan told Sachi about all the shit that had been dug up and that's when she took everything down, on the 1st.

Okay, fourth special mention, because thinking of my favorite holo songs reminded me that Nene was supposed to put out a single soon, I had totally forgotten.

HOLY FUCK THIS WAS HARDER TO FIND THAN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN, I had to dig this up on some Fandom wiki. For YouTube it's only on a Topic channel:

Man this song is positively exploding with lovable idiot energy.

...and the song is even titled "Big Explosion"

A lot of the newer holo songs like Towas and Akis originals and all the bloom ones are only up as a various artists - topic page and not uploaded to their channels, meaning they get wont show up for most people not actively searching for them. I assume this is because they expect the japanese fans to buy the songs instead, but it still feels a bit retarded to bury them when most people won't go looking for anything not on the main channel. And they lose out on all the hype a new original generates for a streamer.

Also, that song is prime brain washing material, just like big red heart. Can barely stop listening to it.

The info I was able to pull from her Discord server from a few weeks back was that she herself contacted the producer (Tachibana Music) for something else entirely and the producer being deep in the rabbit hole was the one that suggested the she go into the vtubing gig, which is how he became her de-facto "manager" in the first place as he handles the mixing/editing for her and is the one who got her in touch with the artists who did her rigging/model.

From my understanding, she's coming into this strictly as an alternative outlet for her music, especially with most places and gigs closed down due to the pandemic. She has mentioned that she was in a hardcore band before - though, TBH, metal bands are a dime a dozen and if she was with a group that even had a small modicum of success, she'd probably doing social media on that end instead rather than vtubing.

She probably takes her gym & lifting routine far more seriously than this vtubing gig, which is fine in itself, but all that along with her statement is just a huge indicator that this is nothing more than a glorified side gig for her. Which is a shame since she does have the "metal vtuber" market cornered FOR NOW but I doubt their planned one-cover per month on top of the handful of shitpost clips she uploads in her channel in between is going to be sustainable in the long run.

So she responded, was it the one where someone Dm her and she said she didn't know who he was referring to, that's kinda dumb why would she even respond. Also whos quiteneet I try looking for those supposed twitch clips but could not find them. Also does Ame still lurk or post in 4chan

Can't fault her for it, like I said, she's using a cartoon girl with big boobs to attract people to her music like a white van with "Free Candy" written on it.

Turns out she's the only one doing actual metal so she's blowing up in a way she probably didn't expect. So again like I said, non-zero chance she finds some enjoyment out of it and decides to stick around, but that'll be awhile.

Other people have answered, but it was started off by an anon in global who actually said something like, "Guys, I dug too deep on Ame andI feel sick over what I found," before spilling the info on Sachi and the (ex)boyfriend.

I can respect a few things about her, but Kiara is still an annoying, fake, clout-chasing ho and there's plenty of people who will take what chance they can get to call her a poopface before the KFPs roll in to demand they prove their opinions.

lil update in poka's dream world.
I'm not really sure how to put this diplomatically: while Poka is demonstrably a tardlord, aren't you one of his arch-nemeses in this silly bullshit? Does that not also reflect poorly on you?

I don't doubt her being able to enjoy it, it's her ability to be able to put up / ignore / tolerate the typical filth & degeneracy that is the norm in the scene that has me doubting whether she'll stay committed to the gig in the long run. She's new and really not familiar with the "norms" of the scene, which is nice but time will tell if she develops the pragmatism to accept that there will always be degenerates, antis and "GIVE-US-MORE!"-fags from hereon out.

Eh, boyfriend or not Ame seems like a genuinely nice person. Even if she has a hot temper regardless of if she plays it up or not on stream. I do wonder if she still plans on doing the charity stream she was talking about around New Year though. She sounded pretty ambiguous in last nights DK stream, not mentioning it by name but I can't imagine what else she means with "Giving back". I wonder if maybe Cover doesn't really want to get wrapped up in all the paperwork required for something like that.

Jesus christ lmao, sad that I haven't got into hololive when this shit blow up. Imagine being so desperate in your parasocial relationship that you cut yourself for a rrat. Whoever that was, hope you manage to get outside and meet real people because goddamn you're sad.
