TLDR: It's anyone's guess why generic, people with Youtube Channels gain popularity. Where is Anisa's following? Are we it? Lots of people are unimpressive, boring, even controversial but also popular?
Do people without morals have an excuse to be unsuccessful?
Does anyone remember Jersh's Mumkey stream? Null emphasized that Mumkey's career started declining because he didn't prioritize his Youtube channel and social media presence as a business. Anisa can still do the shitty things people make fun of her for, and be successful, which aspect of her character killed her fanbase? My money is on her lack of follow through? Greg Mckeown wrote an entire book about consistency, focus, and essentialism using the early history of multi billion dollar businesses to illustrate.
Her following is disproportionately low, compared to the number of years she's been online (I'm guessing 2014), her stats doubled with her serious relationship to a wealthy famous Youtuber, but they're stagnant now.
Anisa has a lucrative quality, she doesn't have values or character. Patrick Bateman thinks of himself as really remarkable for being a void with no empathy to hold him back. A lot of people lack character, but the remnants of character Anisa has shown were impressively shitty, she's selfish but unsuccessful. I don't mean she needs a villain persona, but she could do a lot of easy and shitty things to project the same inoffensive and popular personality to gain a following. She's capable of being more of a leech than she is, stooping to any low for cash and a fanbase, and reinventing herself she's just, dumb? I know she's dumb but something else holds her back. She's been criticized for talking shit, lying about mental illness, bad and stolen art, hypocrisy, but the controversy becomes opportunity cost if she's just a pussy every time. So many generic people have generated a following and profited from the same antics Anisa engaged in, they manage to get more views and publicity whether it's positive or negative can actually be irrelevant if you're really strapped for an identity like she is. When Ice Poseidon called her out for talking shit, her original statement was cunty but she could have made a pretty juicy Youtube video memeing on him because he's such an easy target, instead she slinked out. Was she afraid of his following? She only made one video on Youtube related to OnlyFans, and even if she wasn't sex positive she could have made a lot of videos talking out of her ass about sex work, telling white lies, really hammering in the lack of shame, and an army of sad vulnerable women with slutty coping mechanisms would follow her. Ian definitely clips her wings when she goes on her own ventures, but she could be better as a person with no personality if she developed material that reflected Ian's humor a little more. She's not using him for promotional, he's a huge resource to steal bits from. I don't think he relishes her mediocrity to keep her dependent anymore, there was a shift in power, Anisa with the upper hand still can't leech the right way.
Creepshow art talks shit exclusively, her humor is pretty generic like Anisa, she has less followers, but more views than Anisa, Shannon has a more interactive following for sure, and despite whatever bullshit beef or drama other channels criticize her for it barely affected her. Some people just bank on their shitty ways, and I'm surprised that she never pursued the profitable facets of her drama, or controversy before she just ghosts streaming/youtube/twitter and becomes someone else. I don't care if she's a bad person or not, but what she does and who she is would be so easy to conform to, dumb people can digest that monotony so well. She reminds me of Blaire (Robby) White a shit person, with a fanbase. Anisa's career has been lonely is it the sole product laziness?
