Adding to this with same autism because in ancient Rome they didn't allow young dudes under 25 to have full business rights or legal pull because the youth are always the most easily swayed and riled thus philosophers or revolutionaries looking to rustle jimmies for insurrection or whatever would always go riling up the youth first to get them into panic and allowing them to take the majority of the fight for them.

I say this because especially now it's REALLY easy to instill panic and absolution in people in the current cultural zeitgeist (i say it like this to meme don't fuck me up lol) . Most of the woke troonery started here and having the jobless or computer science majors all campaigning for you after you won their hearts is freebs. Nobody will stan harder. The only thing is nobody will disown harder so someday I hope the tables table....

Yeah they've posted zero evidence of threats of any kind, the person who supposedly got sent "powdered acid" in the mail hasn't confirmed that as far as I know, and they refuse to say who is even threatening them apart from "a local militia", and kiwi google detectives have said there are no militias in the Westcliff area apart from the Tranch itself. So I think it's 95% made up, maaaybe 5% them blowing real things wildly out of proportion. Like Bonnie said they were "followed" during a trip to town and I feel pretty safe in assuming it was one of those situations where the same car just happens to be behind you for a while because they're going the same direction you are, but Bonnie and Penny or whoever was in the truck started to freak each other out about "the fash are following us!!!". So maybe something like that, maybe some shithead online did tell them to kys or whatever and it was technically a death threat, but beyond that this all seems extremely made up.

Of course to their loyal paypigs and asspatters on Twitter not only does it not matter, asking for evidence would be transphobic bigotry. The enabler legion wants to believe it because it plays into their culture war narrative that troons are the most oppressed, most murdered group ever (see the post above mine pointing out that the trans murder rate is lower than the cis). Both the Tranch and its supporters get to enjoy the moral high ground of victimhood without the danger, they get to revel in the us-vs-them tribal mindset of hating the filthy Trumper bigots, and the Tranch gets donation cheddar while the Troon Defense Force gets Twitter likes and tiny dopamine hits from being such a good ally. As much as they claim to be afraid and upset, everyone involved is clearly enjoying this.

Edit: so to directly answer your question I think it's a lie for grifting but to some extent they seem to be working themselves up with paranoia too, but deep down they probably understand that they're not in real danger.

What really kills me is with how mega paranoid Penny is I would think he would have had lots of "documentation" and weird bigfoot level photos. Like he's libertarian and I've never met a libertarian without conspiracy theories AND really grainy "proof" even in the most absurd degree. The biggest proof it's not real is his behavior doesn't line up to what you would think someone whose an unironic ancap would do.

The conservative Israeli Jews came to the same conclusion. The diaspora Jews are very different.
The most important factor for jewish minorities in Europe was always how the owner/government of the land (mostly city) stood to them. Almost all pogroms and deportation of Jews in the Holy Roman Empire were because of tax disputes, for example. The Jews had a special role to be direct subjects to the Emperor/German King, meaning they had to pay tax to him, and not the city/bishop/lord who owned the direct land they lived on. If the city deported them however, they could confiscate much of their property, and christians would move into the now vacant houses, that pay direct tax to the city. Almost all pogroms until racial antisemitism became a thing was fom the upper class, not some sort of torch carrying mob. They diaspora jews always kept the mindset that the government was the only thing that mattered to them, that's why they tried and try so much to positively influence them to their benefit and protection, and why they are mostly heavily socialist and pro big government. Israeli Jews rejected the very dubious honor of the "special place" that jews as a minority had in history and preferred to become a nation state like the others at the time, being able to make your own decisions and defend yourself as a nation. And if something matters to Israels is their ability to defend themselves, while the diaspora jews want the state to defend them, they would not lift a rifle themselves.

I would actually go atleast as high as 25% with them convincing themselves the threat is genuine. Innawoods LARPers are a paranoid bunch and I've actually seen similar things happen quite a few times with paranoia about a non-existant threat that teeters into shared delusion, and this was with people who were only a little kooky and not as full on batshit and militant as the Tranch.

Troons have an uncanny ability to hold completely contradictory ideas in their mind so I wouldn't even be surprised if they both know it's a LARP and fully believe it at the same time.
