Plagued The Alt-Right

I remember hear about these shitheads before. Don't a few of them call themselves Sith Lords or something? When you call your movement the "Dark Enlightening" you're putting it pretty up front that you're trying to be an egdelord.
Not only do they call themselves sith lords they have a saying called "cthulhu always swims left"

It's the most autistic thing.

Also gotta love how Marge the CockFuhrer totally skipped over the contradiction in saying he acts regal and throwing a bitchfit on the internet. Maybe he meant regal in that he's an inbred retard.

In their minds, they are the jackboots. A lot of them focus on this idea that IQ should be the deciding factor for who's in charge, and since they're obviously the smartest and best equipped for the job, they'll be part of the new aristocracy.
And they'll eventually turn on each other once they are put in charge. People with this much ego and elitism will.

I'd like to sit one of these morons down with someone who lived under Saddam Hussein and see how they'd react to having their entire dumb ideology blown out of the water a million times over.

Even that wouldn't get the message through to them.

With the sum-total of the entire non-fascist world beating down his door, Hitler was still convinced he was in the right, and it was the people under him who'd screwed up his vision of perfection.

Neo-fascists and reactionaries always strike me as being more hopelessly romantic than anything else. They take after simplistic authoritarian ideologies because they're easy to understand and look good from a logistics viewpoint. It's easy to idealize the monarchies and dictatorships of old because they didn't have the rigorous complexities and nuances of modern political institutions.

The ancient formula of "one guy with a sword/gun is in charge of everything, so you'd better do what he says" can be appealing to some. It's easy to look at that model and find the lack of complexity enamoring. Without all those silly rules and checks on power, surely the government is more effective at governing, right? Well, no, because history has shown that people granted unlimited power will typically abuse it and not act in the best interests of their subjects. The fascist strongmen that these Dark Enlightenment chumps idolize were all horribly incompetent bullies that caused their own ruination. One only has to look at the pictures of Mussolini getting murdered and strung up by the Italian common folk to get the impression that his administrative skills were severely lacking.

You see, romantics like the Dark Enlightenment are doomed to fail because they oversimplify things. They think despotism is the way to go because they're either oblivious or apathetic to the nuances that effective governments require.

There's a lot of ego too. They think they deserve to be in charge on account of their inherent superiority to the common man, but are cognizant of the fact that there's no way for them to get in charge of everything under the current status quo, so they call for the overthrow/consolidation of all governments in the egotistical belief that once someone else has done all the heavy lifting, they can stroll right in and take over as surely the world will recognize them as the natural leader of things.....

Any neoreactionary sympathies that I might have instantly vanish whenever I read neoractionaries' textwalls, especially Moldbug's. They make me feel as if there's a giant blinking sign reading "FEDORA-TIPPING EDGEMEISTER" in my head.

Hmm... Fedora-Tipping Edgemeister? Is it too late to change my user-name?

In all seriousness, though, I would love to see their reactions if they were forcibly sent to a nation like North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Eritrea, Belarus, or Cuba.

Joseph Stalin (whose purges & death camps killed about 40 million) called twits like the Dark Enlightened "useful idiots".

The best thing I got out of the rationalwiki article is that these guys are super long winded. It's so true!
Also,

Any names ring a bell? Those of you who like lolcow farming, consider this a map of sorts. Apparently Dark Enlightenment is the Gamergate of political thinking; it brings all the cows to the yard.

Vox Day is the guy who seriously believes that the earth is 6000 years old and that black people are the only race that rapes anyone. His sole claim to fame is a bunch of shitposts on WND and a bunch of shit self-published novels.

And yet the autistic brownshirts think this is a guy worth backing.

Don't forget constantly boasting about being a Mensa member.

That's more lolcow-ish than even being an open fascist.

He's also annoyed that the sjws have taken over SF, so he rigged the hugos and nominated his friends like John C. Wright and Tom Kratman. Plus he hates John Scalzi for kicking him out of the Science Fiction Writers of America for calling a black author a half savage. He also thinks women shouldn't vote and the Taliban were scientifically justified in shooting Malala. His dad's in jail for tax evasion.

I don't really disagree with too much of the core of what these guys say, it isn't crazy to believe that a dictatorship is the most efficient way to govern. I've felt for a long time that democracy and Western-styled Republics mostly result in gridlock.

That said, as usual, the "leaders" are all ridiculous caricatures who are so desperate for attention that they constantly say dumbass things with the loudest voices, and so another set of reasonable ideas gets a terrible reputation.

Vox Day is explicitly against Dark Enlightenment ideas, by the way.

He was only a small part of that and basically led a splinter group called the Rabid Puppies. He is actually the kind of racist, fascist shithead that the Tor Books faction wanted everyone to believe all the Sad Puppies were.

Nothing says quality SF like Glenn Beck style-paranoid fantasies.

Also, note how absolutely nobody in that web graph is educated in any actual science or have experience in actual governance.

It's an entire movement based around proving the Dunning-Kruger effect true. They're all unskilled, uneducated, and completely convinced they could be beloved god-emperors if it weren't for mom making them clean their room.

Instead, they obsess over trivial, childish shit (SF, Video game journalism, fantasy, imaginary racism science) It's like they're advocating ignorance above all.

These people also never try to debate anyone outside their white's only treehouse. They try to be contrarian but they're just mirror-images to the SJWs they despise: Emotionally unstable, immature manchildren who pitch fits and retreat into their own 'safe spaces' when they're challenged.

This would be an interesting point if the only thing dictatorships have been shown to be better at is killing shitloads of their own people.

America's presidents killed more Native Americans than we could even begin to count - many, many more than the amount of Jews that Hitler killed or Russians that Stalin starved. The last 200 years of human history have been a killing field in general and the failure of the dictators involved in WW2 have colored people's opinions about what "works" and what doesn't.

Edit: I don't mean to imply that our form of government is worse than a dictatorship by pointing this out. I chalk this up to the fact that America had much more land to conquer andt that land had a much larger populace. Killing people to make space for other people is just kind of what the world is often about.

If the question is if dictatorships are fair or whatever, then the answer is probably no - it's much more fair to create a complicated system of checks and balances. But it's hard for me to imagine that a dictatorship would be less efficient.

I was going to make this exact point but I don't know the background of most of the people on the list. Of the people I do I see: a government employee, an internet marketer, an autodidact, a scifi author/professional shitstain, a programmer, a failure of a PR woman and someone who I assume is an actual housewife. Is there anyone on that list that is an academic, researcher or some kind of profession/background that would justify being so authoritative?
Normally I would argue that you don't need training to be a thinker but considering it's such a common theme and some of their ideas are quite destructive, in this case I think it matters very much.

You see the same type of thinking with anarchists. They're underachieving and out-of-shape, yet believe themselves to be superhuman and assume that once all government is gone and replaced with the law of the jungle they will be able to indulge their power fantasies. But in reality the best they could hope for is not to be raped before they are butchered for meat.

There's a name for the kind of people who would thrive in pure anarchy. They're called career criminals, they've lived on violent crime their entire lives, and they eat the kind of pussies who preach online anarchy for breakfast.

It's interesting how these folks don't just have one or two odd ideas, once they reject "mainstream" it's like all bets are off....... everything goes! Feminist/Leftist/Homosexist shadow agendas? sure! Terrorism False Flag operations? Sure! Tax Conspiracy? sure! Bilderbergs? Sure! Jewish Banking Conspiracy? Well, it kinda contradicts the Bilderbergs, but, eh, why not?! SURE! Lizard overlords?! Aw, what the hell, WE'RE ALL IN!!!!!
