One of the only positive things I can hand to max is the fact he's popularizing the idea of [hating] pedos and zoos to younger, more mainstream-oriented viewers. Self-indulgent cringe speaks to them, and max knows this, being among them himself. But I'll be damned if this isn't alienating the people that are already at this kinda shit regularly.

While the idea of getting people to hate pedophiles and zoophiles is always good, you don't need to show/have audio of animals being abused or murdered to prove a point to your audience. Nick Crowley did a series of videos about YouTube's fake animal rescue ring, but didn't include anything incredibly gorey like that and was better with censoring. Potentially traumatizing people for the purpose of "education" doesn't give you the free pass to do it. It just makes it feel even more scummy.

Try Trace Evidence: it’s a podcast/channel for unsolved murders and disappearances, and the episodes are very informative. I listen to them as background noise.

That was my first question reading this: What has he done that could be used against him?

Assuming there is an actual cohesive group of pedos involved that will be spreading this alleged propaganda, I believe there is one of two likely options: the pedos are just spreading lies to hastily try and cover their asses, OR max somehow incriminated himself, a potentially catastrophic mistake when we're talking about a pedo group. It's unlikely this random group just happens to have information about max that is already out there that nobody else has heard about before, so (again, assuming it's not lies) it's probably something he did within the chat/server/whatever. How might he have incriminated himself within a pedophile group, I wonder. Surely he wouldn't have traded actual cp to try and get access to the group to sAeV tEh cHildRenS, would he?

On the case of Mamamax wouldn't surprise me if he was caught trading cp to get access to some of those pedo groups , I haven't seen his latest videos but if he shows up the chats, it would not take long for the pedos he talked to to figured out his undecover account and within the same group find if he has had traded or got into "interesting" conversations while doing research for his videos, after it, it would take just some anonymous dump on /x/ or /b/ to get their research on him (also its funny that he said those that will make propagand against him will be pedos/groomers making it imposible to call him out on anything without being inmediatly associated with these groups)

Edgy profile pic? Check.

Edgy wording? Check.

Righteous self-indignation? Check.

The thing is he shields his retardation under the guise of being a pedo-exterminator which is something literally everyone can get behind. There's nothing edgy about being anti-pedo, but he treats it like it's some counterculture movement. It's quite possibly the least controversial stance you could take on anything. I'm also not saying being edgy is worse than being a pedophile, but c'mon, can you be a little less of an autist while you're exposing the most retarded people on the planet? I've seen middle-aged hick fathers pull this schtick off better than these internet-savvy millenials.

If this whole aesthetic choice is to emphasize the horror aspect, I think the subject matter is scary enough, so he might want to heed the advice of "less is more". All this overbearing horror shit just makes it a drag to watch this guy's content. There are many other real-life horror channels that have done what MamaMax has attempted successfully without having to insist on its scariness, such as "Horror Stories" who covered real-life horror stories without any fancy editing and by getting straight to the point, letting the gravitas of the story creep listeners out.

All-in-all, he's not the worst YouTube channel out there, but he's definitely one of the most pretentious, at least in the horror genre. Him and Nexpo seriously need to take it down a notch. Nexpo's content has also suffered from this over-edited horror aesthetic. Arguably his best video is his vid on "Local 58", where he just explained the videos in the series substantiated with clips. Less is more; they say it for a reason.

I agree, Nexpo isn’t nearly as bad as MamaMax. At least Nexpo doesn’t put on a fake deep voice to scare his audience into thinking his role as a YouTuber is more important than it actually is.

Also, MamaMax isn’t the first one to speak out about this shit, nor is he the loudest voice or even the most entertaining. There were tons of million+ sub count YT’ers calling out those predatory Elsa x Spider-Man videos that did a much better job getting a voice out there, informing and entertaining people.

MamaMax’s schtick is a double-edged sword: on one side, he fucks his own content by making it overwhelmingly edgy; on the other, he wouldn’t stand out from any other channel without it.
