On a more serious note, Fubuki may be the brains of JP hololive but I feel like Marine's the heart. It's like she recognizes how socially ackward rd a lot of her coworkers are and does her best to pry them out of their shells. She also has gone out of her way a lot of times to help people out, like when she saved Polka's callin stream.
Marine has, without a doubt, usurped Friend as "the face" of Hololive, at least for overseas fans. She's been killing it lately, and is their most valuable asset at the moment.
That's kinda cute but yeah the fact that some twat was cutting himself over this is more of a reason as to why they don't want the girl's identities to be public.
I thought the girls would stop doing their previous work and cut all ties to their old accounts once they signed in with Hololive but I have noticed that some of them have kept their alt accounts around and still produce content on those accounts even if its not as much as they used to. I thought that when it came to streaming, the girls would be denied the chance to stream unless it was with their avatars as this could be seen as direct competition.
I am really interested in how the whole business side works and I would love to see one of the contracts. I'm guessing each contract is altered to fit each girl since some of them do it part time, and others do it full time.
I do believe the contracts are different for each of the talents. I also know that the "older" members' contracts are structured much differently than more current members.
As for them keeping or deleting their past lives/other selves, it's 100% up to them. Cover does not make the decision for them, they just make it clear that the two personalities/world must never intertwine nor mention each other, that's all.
AZKi's accent isnt half bad.
AZKi fucking cracked me up with that English stream last night, because I remember her saying how god-awful her English was when she played Minecraft with Sora that time a bit ago. But it turns out her English is the best out of any of the JP girls other than Coco and Haato. Fucking amazing, AZKi is insanely cool. Shame on anyone who isn't following her more closely.
I think western vtubers are quicker to pick up on new tech. Japanese people in general are slow to embrace new technology, and prefer trying to polish something old to learning something new. Western vtubers will pick up a new tech even if it doesn't work right sometimes, or has some glitches. That's why we see sex-pests like snuffy with 1/10th the following of a holo girl but much better face tracking.
Uhhhh....yeah, I definitely agree with the first assessment. Tried to use a JP website lately? Niconico is still an unusable dumpster fire, and JP hobby sites and online merch stores are like old, early-2000's Geocities run by conspiracy-theory schizophrenics. Hire some fucking white people to recode that shit, for the love of god.
/vt/ is a melting pot of trolling, rrats competing for attention and shitflinging, pretty much /b/ from 15 or so years ago. Spending too much time there will most likely get to you sooner or later.
It absolutely will. Some friends I talk to, who are totally level-headed on a normal day, will overload themselves on 4chan exposure sometimes and quite literally devolve into stark-raving, rrat-obsessed madmen until I talk them down with logic. It's legitimately scary what that place does to someone.
It might be an "uwu I'm sad chat, please shower me in praise", ala Hana Macchia, or not. Who is to say.
It's not. Aqua does not do that.
Anyways, is there any reliable way to track the revenue a streamer gets from Twitch or from Youtube member/superchats?
For me, I like
Playboard. It's pretty reliable and up-to-the-minute. I think it only tracks YT though, not Twitch.
