This is not an article, because I went to kotaku to find a cringe article to post here, but it's fucking devoid of content. I thought i'd rather critique of Kotaku and inquire about it's future as a long time reader, because it's hilarious the state it's in. Between 2013-2016 I was a daily reader of kotaku, from 2016-2019 I was a monthly reader as my interest in games waned.
I'm not here to claim kotaku had a golden age or was anything other than one of the lowest, trashiest outlets with retarded hitpieces and weeb soyboy shit all over. However, Kotaku use to have new content pretty regularly and you could find some interesting cringe or some interesting foreign trend covered by some out of touch western libtard. Obviously since the Hulk Hogan incident Gawker as a whole, but particularly Kotaku hasn't been the same, it started with a bit less content until it turned into slower than IGN or Siliconera. However since I last used it the pace has become glacial despite daily fluff articles.
The front page:

Firstly, there's like 3-4 piece on Pokemon. Kotaku has always had lots of pokemon content, but there isn't even a new game out. Secondly, just from a quick look there's like 4 ads which includes Baby Yoda plus masks, more than actual articles. Third, there's like 3 writers, Nathan Grayson(Zoe Quinn's fuckboy), Aris Notis, John Walker and Zack Zwiezen who puts out 90% of articles. Thirdly, ike 6-7 of the articles are old as fuck, almost dating back a decade in some cases. Fourthly, almost all the games are irrelevant to me and it I haven't heard lots of people mentioning them, nobody cares about the Division 2 or Watch Dogs 3. Fifthly, it's all so damn stagnant, it's the same 5 comic artists form back in the day (Penny Arcade, Double XP, Awkward Zombie, etc) with only 1 new one, it's just so static and boring that they haven't change any of these trash old artists. It's all so boring.
My question is, when will Kotaku shutdown? It's clear they're not putting money into it if this is the quality of the work. I get that it's not the fastest time in games, but damn this is dire. Who is buying their fucking baby Yoda masks and funko pops from Kotaku? Nobody I imagine.
