I'm starting to form a rrat that this account is just either just Nyanners or Silvervale trying to farm for attention here.

Again: what's the angle with going after me? I'd fly so far under the radar of the vshojo talent that none of them would ever give me the fucking time of day, unless they looked into the fact that I'm the only vtuber in this thread who got fucking outed and it was the easiest thing to go with.

Re: older hololive members having a different contract, it's cause the company wasn't even sure this whole virtual youtuber thing was going to work out well back then. Suisei and Miko, for example, are actually outside talent that got to keep their models when they joined Hololive, which is something that would never happen these days. I might be misremembering, but I don't think the earliest four were even advertised as being part of Hololive at first.

Suisei basically negotiated from a position of power to get into hololive and keep her entire character so she wouldn't be forced to make new friends.

Miko was an independent non Vtuber but then got work as the now defunct Project Miko or some shit under Cover Corp. She then got rolled into Hololiv when they fully integrated as opposed to just giving her a new character. I think Miko debuted as a member between gen 1 and 2 but is part of gen 0 due to being grandfathered in. Suisei is the same way since she was part of INNK first (which is separate and its current only member is AZki) and got in after they realized how entertaining she was as a normal content creator.

If I had the money for models and the time to do it, then, my son, I'd love to be a history-centric Vtuber.

I'm not gonn go on an angry rant but you can get a serviceable 3D model for a pretty reasonable price if you know where to look or if you put in the time to learn a model making program.

Dnyasty warriors is based on "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" which is a romanticized retelling of that period of chinese history. Most of those people existed but they take some liberties. Academic history is complicated, and I don't know how much of the serious discussion on chinese history is available in english in terms of examining the biases and inaccuracies in "authoritative" historical records. Throw in the chinese being very sensitive about their history as a matter of national pride, and I imagine it must be a difficult topic to research.

Chinese history does have plenty of cool stuff in it, like that time a guy declared he was jesus christ's brother and started a massive rebellion.

I finally got around to watching AZKi's English stream. It was really cute and I'm glad she reached out, hopefully she'll get more visibility.

The q&a segment turned out to be her asking the viewers questions, which was interesting. A lot of survey type questions like, which songs of mine do you like, how long have you been watching hololive, etc. It felt like someone was trying to tell her about the EN audience, possibly to tell her no on something and she said, "Fine, I'll just go ask them myself."

What? Suisei has absolutely no power as an indie at the time, let alone having the upper advantage in negotiation when she herself basically begged to join Cover. Cover rejected her because she was adamant to keep Suisei character, even selling herself as Cinderella success story. The only reason she even get to keep her character was because of INNK deal, which was its own separate division. Then shit happens during her INNK venture and she was about to quit until A-chan and YAGOO took pity and transferred her to Hololive since they saw she was getting closer to Hololive girls and done way more streaming than Azki.

To say "she negotiated from a position of power" would be belittling her past struggles to get where she is.

it is ironic that there were alot of cultural heritage sites that have been destroyed by the commies during the cultural revolution. During Mao's era they're pretty much wanted their own history to be erased.

Mao wanted to destroy the "four olds" old customs, old habits, old culture, and old ideas, but in the modern era chinese history is carefully mined for things to exploit for national pride, truth be damned. Look at how chinese "traditional martial arts" and "traditional medicine" are treated in a nation that wants to emphasize scientific learning.

The market is very open, the only VTuber catering to historyfags is probably Layla Alstroemeria from Nijisanji ID, but her history streams is in Indonesia. Dovahhatty fits well to this market and he is based as fuck. Why watch boring history vids when he exists?

Polka is a really, really weird person, but the kind I would be immensely attached to IRL.
