General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Is this Snuffy chick Vshojo or does she just hang around them?

Snuffy is VShojo adjacent. She's not in the agency, but she's really good friends with a lot of the main girls (Nyanners, Ironmouse, Silvervale)

Anyways what's a kabedon and what did Moona do to Reine?

Kabedon is the tropey anime thing where the guys walks up to a girl and tries to act smooth by 'pinning' her to a wall with his arm and body. Something must have happened because art like this is floating around in their art hashtags

She's like a JK gyaru, but without the trashiness. 10/10, would let her sit on my face.

Very curious why Pikamee is attracting the Facebook Live-level cancerous Filipinos, aka the ones that always ask for shoutouts. The kind the saner heads (e.g. those who always say no to hololive PH) would meme about.

Could be Lyrica. You'll recall she was in a big Among Us collab with Pikamee a few months back. Once Lyrica noobs get to that, YouTube algo does the rest. And it's not just Pikamee though. You'll see them in some of the EN girls streams too.

For that matter, with all the instability that came to a head back in January 6, how hasn't murica folded on itself decades ago?
Significant degrees of regional and local autonomy for a start combined with a separation of powers that usually makes it much more efficient and realistic to work within the system to achieve change. Basically, "inclusive political institutions" of the sort discussed in Why Nations Fail.

Bugmen history is weird and bloody. If they don’t have external enemies, they will fight among themselves consider their 5 major ethnic numbers in 300-400 millions each (effectively makes West Taiwan 5 mini countries within 1 giant landmass). That’s why Winne the Pooh always declare state enemy whenever there’s internal unrest to stir “nationalism” to keep society from fragmented.
The empire, long divided, must unite; long united, must divide. Thus it has ever been.

Something I missed, Reine brought EN curse to ID.

Moona being shy when Astel visits Ollie's stream(and zombie laughing at her)

There will be the big EN, ID1&2 on 20th

Here ya go, this was her header. I only managed to snag this because Sena fucking followed Sachi on her Senzawa account back in like october ish? Smooth shark brain. The account didn't stay up much longer than that for reasons I'm sure we can all guess.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" lol. She even had her dms open, but you had to be approved to follow her which was a bummer. Would love to see the crazy shit people undoubtedly sent her.

Also, bonus Calli cuz why not. If you go back far enough on her dice twatter there's more.
All I got from this is that she looks better without glasses

I can't recommend Arurans English streams enough
I agree, you can actually ask this guy some questions and there is a good chance he will answer. He's funny and entertaining: "thank you for your membership! I will live another three days!"

retarded monolinguals pretend like English is some impossibly obtuse language
I've seen a couple of opinions like that on social media. When asked "how long did it take you to learn English" people either go silent or call for backup from their echo chambers, but in all cases they appeared to be English native speakers.

English is mostly an analytic language, where different meanings are conveyed via different word order and/or adding new words. A language like that can form when groups of people speaking different languages have to start communicating with each other (Mandarin and Cantonese are also analytic languages, like it or not). Words in the sentences usually stay the same. For comparison, Japanese (for everyone here studying or already speaking this language) is an agglutinative language, when you "glue" together words from different parts/words, add different endings to stems and so on. My native language is an inflected (or fusional) one, where nouns and verbs can (and should) be changed from a stem using a set of patterns and English-only speakers, when confronted with this concept, usually shit themselves.

tl;dr we have in this thread people from at least four continents, all able to communicate in English. Given how widespread the language is, combined with relatively simple to comprehend grammar (you don't have to remember dozens of different patterns to pronounce/write a word and convey the intended meaning), nowadays you can basically learn it by yourself.

I am betting that most of the posters from this thread have this on their own rooms/basement:

I wish. I only have Korone wallpaper on my office computer. But I had a room like that when I was a teenager, only the posters were from video games magazines (a lot of female video game characters, thank you for asking).

chinese people was pretty cool back then
I don't know much about Chinese history, but I find some bits extremely fascinating and I wish I knew more - sadly most of the stories are marred by either a fairytale-like storytelling or propaganda.

Edit : Is this new trend for V-tuber right now?
Vtubers are reacting to a "I want to see vtubers' shoes" hashtag on twitter (#Vtuberの靴が見たい ), nothing to be worried about.

It's not like Europeans are much better. Remind me how many versions of Robin Hood and the Arthurian Cycle there are again?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is my favourite.

If that file about Artia is to be believed, the bugmen supposedly went apeshit when Ame was trying different accents of English and flags of countries forming the United Kingdom were shown. Extremely naive reaction, but given their other actions I am willing to believe this story.

Pretty much this. Also, if you think that this shit is new in America. . . like most idiotic Americans think, you couldn't be further from the truth. Fact is our country goes through this kind of crap every few decades or so, and some of those spikes are worse than others. If you saw the crap being pulled in the early 1800s, the Ante-Bellum era, the Post-Bellum era, our industrial revolution. . . oh wait. . . that's the whole thing. Only difference now is that A) people work less so they can bitch more, and B) everyone thinks they know better, but education has actually stripped wisdom from those who should. The pendulum keeps swinging though. We'll be fine in a few.

Chinese history is actually really fascinating in it's own right. Essentially, it boils down to constant breakdowns into three regions (The North, The South, and the West; some of those five end up working together eventually). These regions are so different from each other in geographical, economic, and cultural ways that it is impossible to unite them for long in a country that values absolute central control. Inevitably, military power is split according to those regions (guess what the CCP did a few years back) for administrative purposes, and it only becomes a matter of time before the military leadership decides it doesn't think like the capital anymore. If they dedicated more time to regionalizing power, or federalization, the country could remain 'united,' for a longer period of time. . . but that can't happen in the CCP or the whole corporate structure will fall flat on it's face. It is going to be a real show when that aging population hits retirement and the dipshits who can't even infiltrate 4chan properly take the reigns to handle the fallout.

I knew a guy from Serbia in college. His English was fantastic so I asked him whether or not it really is difficult to learn. His response was, 'English is the easiest language to learn and be adequate with. The problem is when you try to sound excellent. The rules are simple, the words are easy, your spelling and exceptions are bizarre.'
Makes sense when you realize it is a language built by a bunch of foreigners on an island, speaking five languages and trying to communicate with boondocks accents of those languages. And then the Not-French-French show up, conquer the whole fucking thing, and make things more complicated.

As much as I love Chima’s singing, I have to admit that when it comes to Diamond Crevasse, Suisei has her beat 7 ways to Sunday. (Then again, I might actually say that in this one instance, Suisei’s version even trumps the original.)

I loved Frontier so much, and I was actually thinking of checking out the others soon, so this may bump them up my backlog.

edit: also, just had a new rrat pop into my head: Calli’s persona as a reaper is a shoutout to the reaper DAW.

That can change in a few years to a decade since Western media is as accessible as ever with YouTube, Netflix and other streaming services. There are fucking kids in 3rd world countries growing up watching fucking Peppa Pig and are starting to speak English with accents far better than their parents sound like.

Speaking of Spanish cancer, ever seen the clips of Haachama talking about her time in the Philippines? Yeah...

Still wonder why there's a photo of Haachama on the other side of a Jollibee table anyways.

A politics professor of mine would say that if West Taiwan didn't have an authoritarian leadership, or if you dared to put up a western democracy, it would collapse on itself due to its size and inability to control the populace.

P.S. re: medical 'seething', medical misinformation can be lethal, so I'm unsurprised that someone with some level expertise in the field would 'seethe' at a misguided interpretation done by a layman or expert (second opinions exist for a reason)
"kabedon" is the sound for when you back someone into a wall and put your hands on either side of them. Its a romantic power move you can see in some animes.

American "instability" amounts to idiots coming out of the woodwork to cause trouble, they had neither the backing, the money, or even the basic competence to do more than literally run into the building and make a mess. Anyone who calls it an "attempted coup" is a moron, because there was no plan of any kind to replace the government. The police had them out of there in short order.

I represent to you that anyone who takes what they read on this site as serious medicall advice deserves whatever they get.

You are giving English speakers too much credit.
English learning programs, by and large are these outdated "Where is Paul? oh he's lost at the airport" type of examples with minnimal to no actual participation. Even if by miracle students manage to learn a degree of competency, the intrinsic nuances of English (words are not pronounced as they are written, irregular clauses make no sense, tense conjugation is all duct-taped) show up.
Add that to the fact that retards on the internet do not follow any of the traditional rules of English: "Ppl on the line at the local Wawa's be like ____" "pog!" "pogchamp" "I low-key lowkey the lowkey on my guitar and it sounds low-key lowkeish", etc.
