The thing about being a guy is that, even if you're ugly, you can redeem yourself with good works / achievements. Even fiercely independent and successful women are defined by how they look and who they fuck. There are lots of movies where the ugly guy with a heart of gold gets the girl - do you ever see the reverse, with an ugly woman? No way in hell.

I wasn't saying it's exclusive to men, being an ugly woman is likely even harder no doubt. I think even the most tolerant people have a natural scrutiny and inherent disgust for the ugly and this scrutiny is probably a lot higher for women.

Well most of them aren't wrong about modern women being hyper selective. That's an issue most western men have to deal with. The thing is, most western men deal with it in a way that doesn't turn them into a complete laughing stock. It's the difference between the two customers who get shitty service at a restaurant. The well-adjusted individual just leaves without tipping and never goes back again. The tard starts flipping tables and gets the cops called on them.

This argument is almost as bad as when MGTOW claim "love is dead" solely because all the women at the bar at midnight are total sluts and the tradgirl love of their life isn't there. Things are being conflated here, it would seem that women indeed do have an easier time finding easy sex, and the tinder statistics presented back that up. This is the incel's core claim and in and of itself it is valid, yet hookups should not be conflated with love nor commitment. Does either sex have an easier time in long term relationships? I have a feeling that dating site stats probably do not answer this question any better than tinder's.

Welllll there were a few, but I too was surprised at their relative sparsity. On top of that there were a surprising number of people trying to give genuine advice no matter how Sisyphean such a task might be, or at least making fun of some of the more deranged posters.

For example, Elliot Rodger was rich and attractive, but was a total shut-in, and he blamed the girls for not making the first move. Most normal men know that THEY have to be the ones to ask the women out, and not the other way around. And on the opposite side, horribly deformed guys like Hotwheels have still gotten girlfriends, so there is a question of how much of inceldom is just simply giving the fuck up.

Being too depressed and too sour to achieve anything will self-sabotage anybody. If you refuse to leave your house, get fat, become misogynistic, no personality, and then join a crabs in a bucket community of incels online, you are fucking shooting yourself in the foot.

Theoretically the people who advocated for suicide are dead or in jail for unrelated crimes (like sex pesting). You can't build a long term community when everyone is dying to get out. The fuckers left behind are the only ones who chose not to go, and they don't want to see their friends on the board leave permanently again.

What I wonder is if it's simply rooted in a lack of motivation. Maybe they don't even really give a shit about getting laid, they just use it as a means of projecting anger because they are desperate to feel some level of emotion, regardless if it's negative or not.
