In good news for the talentless, even absolute crayon scrawling in MS Paint can get fully funded if you set the bar low. Though the flex goal for only $1200 on a first campaign might lead to this book never seeing the light of day (n00b flex goals are more like Patreons). I'd be absolutely mindblown if Dark Gift can construct an actual real life physical comic book based upon the body of work shown so far. The suspense is delicious.

This stream was mostly a semi-nostalgic recollection of the past two years from Frog's perspective, but it builds up towards some ideas brought to the public for the first time, namely his intention on bringing the Cyberfrog collected edition to the direct market and book stores. The other was as 1:27:00 concerning Zack's announcement of going to self-fulfillment: apparently Zack approached Frog of ALL CAPS comics as his fulfillment agency; Frog made it conditional on Zack returning to livestreaming to promote his projects again. This was a dealbreaker for Zack. These were met with mixed reactions in the chat.

Like most older GenXers, @FROG mistakes the form of something on the internet to the function.
He is certain that livestreaming is what works in CG and demands of it. But it is not livestreaming, it is exposure and parasocial relationships that sell comics: Get people to watch your material and spend some time pitching your books.

YBZ livestreams were mostly meh even in 2017 (and yes, there is the Splatto Del Gatto stream that was epic) but he is not livestream material.
Him getting on livestreams would be not funny, not fun.
Now, if his point was: "I want you to do one Jawbreaker GN a year" I would get it. But livestreaming... not going to work for anybody, FROG, Zack or the audience for the same reason that @FROG can't stay in some JACK shows, when they get peak stupid.

All talented CG materializing under ALL CAPS is a great idea and can save money for backers while making more money for the creators (economies of scale) and EVS should probably be less rigid on how the other creators promote their work and more on how to optimize production and delivery costs for them like they were clients.
You know, less like a soyboi twitter-commie and more like a proper red-hatted capitalist.

Thing with youth is most of their opinions will turn 180 or at least not stay the same in ten fifteen years as you get older and more experienced leading to more to reflect about.

I do agree Z live streams are not very interesting but they are a way of connecting with your audience that is cheap and accessible for all involved and it beats commercials.

Maybe part of a good solution would be for Frog to sell ad space to CG releases/artists what have you in the comics All Caps puts out.

Some time ago Ethan did a stream where he started talking about Z in a past tense and if it were up to me that was a good way to treat this problem.
He was instrumental in CG and he should continue to be a part of of the lore as he earned it but he is nor does he want to be relevant now.
Nobody is talking about or listening to Capn Cum anymore either.

a lot of this is why I also stopped listening to Zack. Even though the Mark Waid cuck out was the last straw, what you said is also spot on. I dont know if Zack has lost his motivation or what but, at this point I don’t know what he can do to save reputation among the CG consumers now. It is unfathomable to me that someone would put out this sort of art and say "Yep, that's good to go." And Dark Gift seems like a fairly smart guy, making it all the more baffling. I agree in principle with the stated purpose of the"comicsgate" hastag as a consumer movement to shift attention towards good comics instead of buying the same Marvel and DC crap. But this shit is wrong. I don't want to buy a comic because it's "comicsgate" That defeats the purpose of Comicsgate. I want to buy good comics at a fair price and support the creators who make those comics. This is literal SJW hive-think. "these people agree with me so I have to suck their dicks and buy their shit regardless of quality." I just wanted good comics not self indulgant bullshit that I have to pay over £100 for in order to get a physical copy.

#ComicsGate isn't about "good comics", necessarily. It's just about not allowing SJWs to determine who gets to make comics.

Anyone can try to make a comic book and anyone can try to sell it.

The end result is a wide disparity between Shane Davis, Kelsey Shannon and Ken Rocafort...and whatever this shit is. But we've gotta trust in the free market to sort out winners and losers.

This is a non-story. They aren't replacing Cap with a gay character. It looks like they're telling a story about some gay kid LARPing as Captain America and fighting to save his fellow runaways.

Sure it's woke and the story premise sounds like slice of life bullshit but this is hardly turning Iron-Man into a 15 yr old black chick or the Hulk into a Korean kid for multiple years.

It's just another throw away woke story.

You're not entirely wrong. I stated in my post that it isn't Captain America himself and it's probably some brief, low tier garbage. I do, however, continue to find it fascinating that despite the failures, they're still trying to get shit like this to stick.

It's a nice distraction while I await the next eventual lulzy event within CG itself. Aside from Finatra and Testefy having a really, really long shouting match at each other on a livestream, I haven't seen much else going on. Yet.

The catch is however if you like comics this takes up the limited resources to publish books, They would rather publish this garbage that only 15,000 issues will be ordered of instead of "The X-Cellent" which would be 1000 times better and don't worry still only 15,000 issues will still be sold.
