I think the most likely trigger will be that this guy will eventually butt heads with someone at the tranch. When they ask him to leave, he will lose his shit. Gramlich’s response was very smart given the situation. The troons are weak and lazy people; they would’ve likely whined, given up on the farm, and left.

In the long run, the cost of excluding them is less than the cost of letting them in.

Whatever happens, it’s past the point where you can just thoughts-and-prayers your way out of it like Gramlich seems to think. It's actually a good thing that they have body armor because this will amp up the severity of the inevitable government response when they start firing off shots at anyone who happens to stray a little too close to their property. When someone has body armor and lots of rifles, the government is more inclined to come in hard and fast because they've signaled their desire to get into a prolonged firefight. When the order comes down to move in, the SWAT team is gonna be like "When the power drops, go in, and go in, and go in, and go in like the US Marshal and his three daughters and we lose the vaccine.
