Facebook said they reviewed the "Can Colebrookdale be trusted?" and it didn't break their rules, but they're still pending for the "Can (person's name) be trusted?" one and I can't see how that will slide past the regulations too. Time will tell.

I'm actually still really baffled as to how they knew the middle name wasn't mine; it wasn't a weird one or anything, it was a completely normal and quite common middle name, but it went well with my first name as a kind of non-obvious pun that sounded like a particular comic book character I like. So it was (common first name) (common middle name that isn't mine) (last name), and they knew it wasn't the real one though?

I'm guessing some asshat must have reported it, but honestly, it wasn't a super obvious pun and it was just a personal in-joke really, yet Facebook knew? Some 1984 shit going on here.

At least we tried, I guess. We have a track record of trying to do the right thing by the people Len doxxes, which might not account for much but it still establishes us as people who have a certain ethical code. Same with how we weren't cool with him attacking someone's wife randomly. There is a quite strong sentiment on this forum of justice and what is "deserved", which is really interesting to see in action. And we're pretty much always unanimous on it, apart from when it might stem the milk flow, that's when some people might speak up against.

This is what you get when your frontline support people are about as dumb as Len himself.

It allows you to criticize as long as you don't harass and this is what keeps a lot of Shaner's hate pages from being taken down even though I'm sure they are getting reported like crazy. So if you made a page saying something like "Leonard F. Shaner Jr.: Train Obsessed Pedophile" he could take it down as harassment but if you played his game and made a page called "Can The Owner Of Journey Back In Time Productions Be Trusted?" then it's probably fine as long as you don't go too nuts with your posts.

However, with proper manipulation, Shaner broke the rules and that's why I was able to report his post on the Dangerous page and get it taken down. This combined with other posts being nuked and the metric crap ton of people reporting this page put it under greater scrutiny by FB. It's getting reviewed right now so it's offline for now.

Tldr: My Facebook district manager is better than Shaner's.

The trick to remember is facebook doesn't give a shit and just wants more data. The only reason they take anything down is if it's a legal liability.
