Seven people have been shot dead in shootings at two spas and a massage parlor in Atlanta.

Police say the spa shootings occurred in northeast of the city in the suburb of Woodland Hills at two locations directly across the street from one another.

On Tuesday afternoon, officers could be seen with guns walking on the street outside the spas located on Piedmont Road.

Officers with Atlanta Police are now hunting for the person responsible

Earlier on Tuesday, two people were killed at a massage parlor in Cherokee County due north of the city, with a further three injured.

The shootings happened at Young’s Asian Massage parlor off Bells Ferry Road and Highway 92 in Acworth, Georgia about 30 miles north of Atlanta.

It appears that all five victims were shot inside the business.

Cherokee County Sheriff´s Office spokesman Jay Baker confirmed the deaths and said three people have been transported to hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The suspect was captured by surveillance video pulling up to the business around 4:50pm, just minutes before the shooting.

Officials are now looking for a suspect in a black Hyundai SUV.

The sheriff's office posted surveillance pictures on its Facebook page, asking people to share the images that show the man near the vehicle. They described the man as a suspect, and asked that anyone who recognizes him or the vehicle call 911.

It is not yet known whether the shootings are connected.

The victims in the Acworth shooting were two Asian women, a white woman and a white man, Baker told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The fifth victim was a Hispanic man who was injured and taken to the hospital.

The Asians were pros, the men were Johns, but who was the White woman I wonder? I haven't known joints like this to have a diverse staff at all. It's either trafficked Asians or trafficked Slavs. Never heard of a mixed race staff for one.

It seems odd. One of the forums I was able to find mentioning one of them did say it had a Central American woman working there, so that's probably the sort of thing they're talking about. Still, odd given the ownership model of these things.
