Seven people have been shot dead in shootings at two spas and a massage parlor in Atlanta.

Police say the spa shootings occurred in northeast of the city in the suburb of Woodland Hills at two locations directly across the street from one another.

On Tuesday afternoon, officers could be seen with guns walking on the street outside the spas located on Piedmont Road.

Officers with Atlanta Police are now hunting for the person responsible

Earlier on Tuesday, two people were killed at a massage parlor in Cherokee County due north of the city, with a further three injured.

The shootings happened at Young’s Asian Massage parlor off Bells Ferry Road and Highway 92 in Acworth, Georgia about 30 miles north of Atlanta.

It appears that all five victims were shot inside the business.

Cherokee County Sheriff´s Office spokesman Jay Baker confirmed the deaths and said three people have been transported to hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The suspect was captured by surveillance video pulling up to the business around 4:50pm, just minutes before the shooting.

Officials are now looking for a suspect in a black Hyundai SUV.

The sheriff's office posted surveillance pictures on its Facebook page, asking people to share the images that show the man near the vehicle. They described the man as a suspect, and asked that anyone who recognizes him or the vehicle call 911.

It is not yet known whether the shootings are connected.

Btw Acworth is about 1 hour away from downtown Atlanta. I'm not exactly sure where Woodland Hills is, but it sounds like its within the 285 perimeter. Which means the two shooting locations would be an hour's drive away from each other, maybe 40 minutes if you gun it. Seems less like a hate crime and more this dude had issues with these specific parlors. I wonder if they're owned by the same person.

If someone just wanted to murder a bunch of Asian people as a hate crime, you'd think they'd target the H Mart off Buford highway or something. A big, crowded business in the area with the highest Asian population in metro Atlanta. Not three random massage parlors, one of which is a decent drive away from the others.
