While I would love it if we could see a catalyst like Hololive make Twitch bigger in Japan, I also know I would never want Hololive to fully switch to it because Twitch's moderation staff and policy making team makes Youtube looks like diplomacy geniuses. They notoriously have THE WORST support for streamers, and all that big fat Amazon money has done nothing to fix it.

Personally, I got my account compromised before I really used Twitch that much, and a spam bot took over my channel. It took me TWO FUCKING YEARS of back and forth with support basically ignoring my requests to reinstate the account because of fraud. They (botters) had changed the password to the account, and in order to use the support portal I needed to log in with the defunct account to request an appeal, but because it was banned I couldn't change the password at all. Two years of emails took it took them, with weeks/months silence between responses to finally get it fixed.

Combination of Ublock Origin and Alternative Player is stopping ads on my end. If you don't use alternative player, Twitch detects Ublock and will force you to refresh the page every 10 min.

This doesn't work for me as expected, the ad is "blocked" insofar as it isn't visible but it is still playing in the background, still forcing me to wait the duration of the ad before loading the stream.

I don't see there being a move to Twitch honestly or they're going to have a lot of disgruntled viewers. Imagine having a 2-year Membership badge for Roboco or something and then having to start from 0 on Twitch.

It did do Aki dirty though, granted it's not her actual birthday, but birthday streams are usually the big money earners and she basically had to do it with a large chunk of her audience not even being able to watch it.

Nah I can't subscribe to this.

Whatever problems Twitch has, the kind of content some other people thouroughly unrelated to Holopro make on Twitch does not affect the Holo content in any way.

The stuff that's going to affect Holopro is going to be Twitch's war on ad blocking, their absolute ass VoD player experience, and the fact that they're basically now going to war with the music industry at large.

The last two there are easily mitigated, by uploading videos and stream archives to youtube, and they had the music bit figured out long ago by sticking to in-house content or DOVA Syndrome.

In my opinion though I might take that given that YouTube's shitty moderation tooling, their trigger happy algorithms that just love to cut a broadcast short for no discernable reason, their love of demonetizing content for going so far as swearing, and incredibly shitty emote support for member/subscribers -- no really if you look in chat they're like five by five pixels.

I don't really watch Snuffy's stream but I watch clips here and there and I've come to like her more after her voice reveal and her dropping her fake voice. Idk why, she just has some funny degenerate moments occasionally.

Snuffy's regular voice feels like a breath of fresh air from having high pitched girls that all go for the "uwu 2kawaii4u" speech.

I decide to check out Miko's Twitch stream to see how it's holding up and the first thing I get is being forced to watch an ad even with adblock turned on. I hope they never fully migrate to this damn site.
