I'm not a regular of this thread, but it seems like every time I come in here for a peek, John is almost always talking about Porsche as much as he mentions Gamergate or politics.

He's like that kid in middle school that's only interested in one specific topic and will not talk about anything other than that. It's pretty funny that almost every waking moment of this guy's existence he's just thinking about this specific car company. Not even just cars in general, only Porsche. The anti-war movement actually had a diverse base of interests and such, and the lunatic left (IE SDS weathermen) quickly ragequit and did their own thing, which in a way was the best thing that could happen to the anti-war movement since it allowed the lunatic left to be rightfully villified and marginalized out of a position of authority and power by the sane folk in the anti-war movement.

Also, when the war ended, not all of the elements went away. They simply fractured into different causes: environmentalists, gay rights, second wave feminism, while the more insane lunatic lefties went full domestic terrorist ala the SLA. And some did rejoin normie society, though there were a lot of anti-war normies who never really left and defied pop culture portrayals of the left of that era.

But the chief issue, that the anti-war movement of the sixties ironically was like Gamergate in that it was 100% decentralized and while there was major figures, there was no real "leader",

As for the Boomers, the biggest thing they learned from the anti-war movement was that the best way to have a war and prevent a massive populist anti-war uprising from ever happening again, is that you kill the draft and make military service 100% voluntary. Once you remove forced participation, it's easy for poor, middle class, AND rich folk to turn a blind eye towards stuff like the Iraq and Afghanistan wars due to the fact that the only people fighting, being maimed/wounded/dying over there are people who chose to be over there.
