Seven people have been shot dead in shootings at two spas and a massage parlor in Atlanta.

Police say the spa shootings occurred in northeast of the city in the suburb of Woodland Hills at two locations directly across the street from one another.

On Tuesday afternoon, officers could be seen with guns walking on the street outside the spas located on Piedmont Road.

Officers with Atlanta Police are now hunting for the person responsible

Earlier on Tuesday, two people were killed at a massage parlor in Cherokee County due north of the city, with a further three injured.

The shootings happened at Young’s Asian Massage parlor off Bells Ferry Road and Highway 92 in Acworth, Georgia about 30 miles north of Atlanta.

It appears that all five victims were shot inside the business.

Cherokee County Sheriff´s Office spokesman Jay Baker confirmed the deaths and said three people have been transported to hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The suspect was captured by surveillance video pulling up to the business around 4:50pm, just minutes before the shooting.

Officials are now looking for a suspect in a black Hyundai SUV.

The sheriff's office posted surveillance pictures on its Facebook page, asking people to share the images that show the man near the vehicle. They described the man as a suspect, and asked that anyone who recognizes him or the vehicle call 911.

It is not yet known whether the shootings are connected.

Not from what I've seen, no. That reaction seems limited to rich woke kids who've spent most, if not their entire lives in the US (probably in either rich white or rich asian majority areas).

Christian fundies never completely went away, it's just that they usually focus their terroristic energy on abortion clinics instead of rub and tugs. I think 2015 was when one shot up a Planned Parenthood in Colorado and murdered I think 4 people at least. They're constantly shooting at and firebombing clinics too, though usually at night when no one is there.

I actually wonder if this guy was even a true fundie or just an asshole that hated hookers like Ridgeway. Time will tell.

The site USA Sex Guide has an Atlanta forum for Asian massage shops. The guys share information on which girls put out and what prices they're charging. They also keep an eye out for scams and cops. Apparently some of the site's users are spooked and think the shooter might use the forum.

One user pointed out that the shooter would have had to pass by a bunch of parlors and spas on the way to his targets.

It does seem to feed into the theory he's got personal history with the shops he shot up.
Of course some users are upset they're "hobby" is ruined now.

Yep, that's what I've been thinking and saying since this whole thing began. There are tons of these places in metro Atlanta. Why drive 40+ minute to go shoot up the third one when there were tons of them much closer to the first two? Definitely seems like a personal vendetta against those places in particular.

At least this dude is never going to be free to hurt any more people again. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a death sentence, and honestly I'd say that's pretty deserved in this situation.
