General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I at least think they should utalize Twitch in some way, I never fucking watch Twitch, but I use Amazon, so I log on every month to give Miko my Twitch prime.

I do like the gifting of memberships/subs aswell but that doesn't help their battle against West Taiwan you're going to be giving them access through Twitch.

I kinda wish they remain like this, is inefficient is dumb but at least you know the possibility of they americanizing the process and infecting it with their own brand of retardation would be reduced to a minimum
Maybe that's why most future-esque dystopian worlds and the cyberpunk genre have Japan as one of the worlds most powerful nations while America is always a collapsed shithole.
They didn't allow identity politics to destroy their society.

Just because someone is gifted a subscription, it doesn't mean they aren't bannable. A good mod team with sharp eyes can easily snipe the bugmen without any further issue.

Didn't Twitch pull a "all womxn must be celebrated" stunt recently. It certainly is an exceptional website run by very special people.
Oh yeah, twitters were raging about that because it excludes trans women or whatever. Give em an inch and they think they're a ruler. The corporate overlords promote this so they can sell you action girl movies while simultaeously thanking concentration camp admins in the credits.

Problem is american identity politics now infected younger Japanese these day so we have to wait until it's time.

Some note : For me, Japanese game company making yaoi and yuri bait because they care about money, not player lol.

These are also the fucks who removed the "Blind Playthrough" tag because it wasn't inclusive to the blind community.
I remember there's retard triggered cuz the name of black hole on space thing. They think it's very racist because "black" word on it and Nasa hear their complaint :story:

This doesn't really fit Hololive, unless the girls hand picked their own mods like Coco.
This comes up in this thread pretty often, and my understanding is that generally the consensus is that Cover absolutely should be hiring moderation staff. Even beyond the China problem, most of the talent is big enough that chat is almost unmanageable without paid staff.

Twitch wins out in this scenario because they have vastly superior moderation tools, even before you take into account that there also exist fairly mature third-party tools.

Ina already had INAFF.

Have fun push-up again.

Noel is taller than Aqua by a decent amount so I don't think she's actually 4 feet whatever.

On the Twitch thing, I'm not worried about a migration. I'm worried about them attracting more Twitch shitters than they already have. More or less chat fuckery is the concern.

Then again, pitting Twitch chat white knights against the bugmen could be fun.

I will never be able to take Twitch seriously as a platform for game streamers after countless thottery drama and them hiring a deer troon as part of their staff of whichever department it works. Funnies shit ever to come out of that Pog hole.

I use Ghostery and so far, no Twitch ads is shown. Thought I haven't watch Twitch for more than 5mins.
Twitch has the most agressive fucking anti-adblock shit I've ever seen. It makes it unwatchable on PC and even worse on mobile. I'll have to try this Ghostery thing later, if it actually gets rid of all the ads I'll be impressed.
People were making fixes for ublock for a while but twitch was constantly hotfixing them out
And yeah I've slowly just been falling out of twitch for a while now. If not for the 2 or 3 streamers I follow on there I wouldnt even use it.

Twitch is evil and incompetent, but it's run by human beings that can be negotiated with (bribed) if you have enough leverage.

Youtube is controlled by a malevolent and capricious AI that hates humanity. It does not respond to money or PR backlash. No humans are involved in the process and appealing never works.

People might get banned from Twitch because a tranny mod just dislikes them, but on Youtube, profitable and completely benign verified channels get banned by the AI for literally no reason every day.

From a business standpoint, Twitch is way easier to deal with.
