That's something I actually thought of a while back, especially since it's mandatory in a lot of different places. Masks are kinda expensive to keep buying all the time for a lot of people so they'd rather opt for the cheap shit.
It wouldn't be shocking to hear later down the line some people's lungs are shredded cause they've been inhaling asbestos particles or some dank shit like that from cheap counterfeit masks from a sweatshop in China.

How does one die from mask wearing? Afaik the worst that happens is you pass out, which isn't good obviously but is unlikely to be fatal (unless you're already short of breath because you're in the middle of a heart attack or something but the mask wouldn't be the culprit there). Maybe if you hit the ground like a ton of bricks and hit your skull off a cinder block at the right angle, idk. I'd expect people's instinct when they're gonna faint is to pull the mask off unless it's a child who doesn't know what fainting feels like, but it wouldn't kill them if they didn't.
Then again I've seen a person use a plastic bag as a makeshift mask because they couldn't get on the bus without something covering their face so I'm probably missing some ways people could die from mask-related retardation.
I'm against mask mandates because I don't think they do fuck all and no one wears them right anyway, but I highly doubt they cause fatalities.

New technologies and products aren't risk free. Science is a process, and discoveries can be full of mistakes or have repercussions that aren't fully understood for years. Have you never seen those ads on TV mentioning if you suffered damage or death from some medication or medical device?
This is a new technology, it's not even a vaccine in the traditional sense, and it was rushed through with less time for testing out of perceived necessity. Yes, medical breakthroughs usually come painfully slow, but there's a good reason for that. You don't want to create a cure that causes more long term harm that it prevents, and the uncomfortable truth is we likely aren't going to know if this was actually safe for three to five years.
No mind controlling drugs required.
Thalidomide did prevent nausea during pregnancy.

Yes, that's totally why people are against it. People can only be against it because of some fantastical easy to dismiss reason like that. Haha gay frogs am I right, fellas? People couldn't have reasons for not wanting to get it due to us not knowing the effects of it years down the line. People couldn't not want to take it on principle of not wanting to be forced into taking a vaccine for something that is being blown massively out of proportion. No, that's just silly, they just think it's about mind control, maaaaan.
I agree, it's silly to call someone spineless for getting it (well, even though she's just calling you spineless over your reaction to Covid), however. If you want it, get it. Take three for all I care. Make a trip to your nearest clinic like it's the Hajj if you really want to. Sleep in a vat of it if you can manage to, sprinkle it on your fries like vinegar.

It's very rare to actually die from it but it can fuck up your lungs. With the garbage masks that people breathe all day there probably are some people who will contract this otherwise-rare illness. It's a rare enough disease that it might be underdiagnosed, and the symptoms are similar enough to the Chinese virus that cases and deaths caused by it are being labeled as COVID-19.
Maybe, just like the paradise where the United States is not blowing up random villages in Afghanistan. Doubt I will ever get the vaccine (until I'm like 60 maybe) for the exact same reason I don't get flu shots, because why do I need a vaccination against a disease that has statistically zero risk to me? I'd rather get sick than deal with "whoops, you got an autoimmune disease from our gene thera--I mean vaccine!"
