I kind of get the point he is going for here, it's the responsibility of the parent to make time for his children and take an interest in their lives and interests to establish a healthy relationship. (If they like animals take them to a Zoo) (If they like dinosaurs read dino books with them) However the comic is just drenched in such faggotry and the message he is probably really going for is indulge every child's wildest fantasies until they're a barely functioning adult who can't even tell if they're really a boy or girl or they sexually identify with carrots.

Nailed it, that's why it has become THE thing to come out as. Nowadays you don't even have to insist on they them anymore, you can be he / they like Ellen Page, she / they like Halsey, or even she / her like the sperg who created Steven Universe. It's a vapid umbrella of meaningless and absurd identities. Reminds of when washed up loons like Rachel Dolezal or Carole Baskin come out as bisexual once their fifteen minutes of fame is over, they indeed may be bisexual but their experience with it is probably limited to eating out a few sorority girls during their party phase.

The show I meant was Edd Ed n Eddy. I don't know anything about others involved in Steven Universe but I always imagined they would all be total lameos

I knew Billy would be compelled to comment on Super Straight. Of course he thinks anyone that won't suck his girldick is a Nazi
